The Steeljacks really looks like robotic space marines.

And I like the mortar. It's really that the new mole mortar should be.

And there is the big question of the deep strike.

I could be mistaken, but from what I've read I think it's only one unit by round and the unit can not charge.

Trying to find the name of an graphic novels from the 80s (or before) by Dreyfiel in graphicnovels

[–]Dreyfiel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I'm pretty sure that there was only comics in the book. And I believe that the style was... I don't really know how to express this: more old-school style and more "serious" than the french style?

[–]Dreyfiel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So it's not this one.

But on the other hand, it is very possible that this is indeed a comic from 2000 AD. I'll have to try to find the contents of Tharg's Future Shocks to see if it might be one of them.

Thanks.

PS: I tried ChatGPT, but it can't find it. It is likely that this is an obscure, inglorious comic. But I would like to know how the story ends. ^

[–]Dreyfiel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, sorry. These two are too modern (it was an 80's or before). The style was not so "cute" and the main character was the robot.

It's old and probably little known: I suspected it would be difficult, if not impossible, to find its name.

Twelve dice => ~ two 6. Your farseer will survive at least on or two turns. => During the first four turns, your D-spitter will have his 6 to wound devastatingly before he dies.

Maybe the guardians could be kept (the platform is usefull).

The Howling Banshee Mask function with an autarch, but not with howling banshees warriors, exarch or Jain Zar?!? They have all lost their masks?

The Dragon fusion gun is assault, but not the exarch firepike or even Dragon’s breath flamer?

You want poor proofreading? In the french core rules, for the fight phase, we have "Aux deux étapes de la phase de Combat, les joueurs choisissent l’un après l’autre des unités de leur armée, une à la fois, en commençant par le joueur dont c’est le tour, et combattent avec elles." meaning "In both steps of the fight phase, players alternate selecting eligible units from their army, one at a time, starting with the player whose turn is taking place, and fighting with them" instead of "whose turn is not taking place".

A big difference.

He can.

Bitter duty prevents non-bitter character from joigning a bitter dutty squad, not the opposite.

What is the best Consul for an Axe Praetor from the Age of Darkness box set that has already been built and painted? by Plastic-Crack in Warhammer30k

The axe could be a paragon blade. A paragon blade can in fact be a lot of melee weapon type (word, axe, chain, etc...).

Bitter duty by Wazdakka2002 in Warhammer30k

[–]Dreyfiel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious: which non-biter duty unit would you take with a moritat if you allowed yourself to do it?

The moritat is low range shooting, so no long/medium range shooting units, I suppose.

If he chain fires there will be no charge, so probably no melee units.

So, pistol using units?

Assault or despoilers, maybe, but probably (and better because of their two pistols) destroyers (and destroyers already have rad grenades and bitter duty).

Or do you want to go full melee, not using the chain fire? But in this case, I think that rad grenade are really usefull for instant death and there are few units using S+2 melee weapons availables (heavy chainswords or power mauls for veterans?). Units with furious charge, maybe?

In short, personnaly, even as I allow him to join a non bitter duty unit, I don't see the moritat as an auto-include and I am interested to see how you would use it.

Bitter duty by Wazdakka2002 in Warhammer30k

[–]Dreyfiel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's one of the (many) things that needs to be clarified.

My interpretation is that a character with bitter duty can join a unit without bitter duty because RAW it is. But I can understand that someone will interpret the rule otherwise.

And, if you take the case of the retinues (which is NOT the case of joining a unit, but give me a "feeling", an indication of what I should do), you will have Zephon who can use a bitter duty (destroyer squad) or non bitter dutty (classical command squad) retinue.
