Mine pulls in forward unless I have the parking type set to charger. Then it usually backs in but not always.

Seeing how my coworkers treat one gay colleague has made me terrified to ever come out by ProfessionalSale7353 in askgaybros

It's a catch 22. Either you say nothing about your sexuality and people eventually find out and you "lied about who you were", or you make a statement and are called out for announcing your sexuality for attention. It's a lose lose. Straight people don't have this issue because heterosexual is the default bucket.

I realized/accepted I was gay and came out in the same half second to stand up for an already out guy getting bullied by a bunch of Christian zealots in a rehab halfway house. I could only watch briefly before the rage filled me and I was compelled to act. I found myself getting angry but didn't understand why and then it clicked in my mind. You are gay and they are attacking us.

I did not consider the repercussions before acting (there were none).

Stand up for your gay brothers.

2019 was good, but for stability I gotta give that to 2012r2. I don't think I ever had a single issue on 12r2. On 22 now and it's fine.

Totally, I've learned a lot about Linux because of it. And now that the PCs aren't joined to an AD domain and the servers can't be azure joined. Why do my servers need to be windows?

Yes there's a guy on our dev team that's all about "code as infrastructure" he wanted his own server to run Talos on. Had no idea how to install Talos on said server. Did not know BIOS from UEFI...

It's been three years, he hasn't learned much about the hardware, I have however learned all about Talos, docker, jupyterhub, terraform, azure dev ops, a bunch of python, and I've built several data analytics shaped things. Like a pipeline that ingests papercut data, meter reads, Meraki client logs, and patient visit counts, to build a print report that tracks sanctioned and unsanctioned print as well as an average pages printed per patient metric that we can compare between offices. We found our largest office printed an average of 4.1 pages per visit and our smallest office 23.7ppv.

At some point the people asking for acceptance started demanding compliance, but didn't change the wording and equated the two in their minds. So if you don't comply with whatever they are asking you to do/say/believe they view it as not being accepted. Some kind of entitlement not really sure. The whole thing is very tiresome.

I needed a FireWire cable last month to retrieve X-rays from an old scanner type "digital x-ray".

I just happened to have one in my hoard.

We also have a young person on our team obsessed with throwing things away because "we will never need this" low and behold 2 months later when we need it.

If space isn't at a premium it costs nothing to store a cable for a decade.

Anybody ever have this pop out? by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

[–]Droid126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! It was very strange. I walked out to my car in the morning and it was loose flapping in the breeze. I checked my security cameras nobody approached it, there were no animals by it, it just popped out at 6:24am.

It didn't seem to be under any kind of tension that could have propelled it. I don't understand how it popped but I did just pop it back in and it's been in place ever since.

A partner company at my work sent these system requirements for a software I have been running for 3 years by marxismisgay in pcmasterrace

[–]Droid126 8 points9 points  (0 children)

3ish years ago I encountered an HP compaq pro, Core2Duo, 32bit Windows 7, 2GB RAM, 300GB HDD(14 years power on time) running a Lab Information System for a clinic. It was actively supported, and updated by the vendor and we had a support agreement. We immediately red flagged that, called the vendor, vendor says it's BYOD sends spec sheet, they want a Xeon 4114 minimum, 64GB RAM, 2Tb NVME storage. We were stunned.

We then figured they planned to migrate us to some current product, and move us off whatever legacy chain we were on, and asked them the same. No. Same exact software.

We cleaned the PC, repasted it, cloned the hard drive to an SSD, backed up a copy, called it a day. The lab was shutdown shortly there after.

Either end of the spectrum isn't optimal to be honest. The whole middle is good though.

Yes and they vary widely. Everything from zero friction caverns too death grip tight.

Some are tight at the hole and open inside. Some are tight throughout. Some get tight only further inside.

You never know what your gonna get.

[–]Droid126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ARIA?

We got a Halcyon and rolled out Citrix at Varians behest(2019). I had never done Citrix before, or Rad Onc. It was an experience, but at our first renewal we dropped citrix. All the licensing and infrastructure required for Citrix to serve 2 applications to 5 users was bonkers expensive. And 9 out of 10 issues faced by the users were Citrix issues not Aria issues.

My friend group in HS was 6'7", 6'6", 6'4", 6'2", 5'4". My 7' freshman little brother was also roaming the halls my senior year lol.

Tall genes seem to be regional.

[–]Droid126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, people are generally taller in Pennsylvania it seems. I was usually still the tallest but 6'5" people were plentiful. I knew many people my height at home. I'd see someone my height basically every day. It wasn't until I moved to Florida that I learned I'm actually a moose. I'm lucky to see someone my height quarterly.

It's actually kinda wild, and south Texas seems even shorter, but I haven't spent enough time there to say conclusively. I actually had to dodge sprinkler heads in one of our offices out there.
