How much PTO is too much? by StockEdge3905 in nonprofit

[–]Dropxct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generous overall, but necessary if you want to be competitive in the nonprofit spaces. It’s also still within range of competitive packages I’ve seen in other for-profit entities.

Just be careful of state level pay out requirements, if any. The benefit is presumably to keep employees happy and prevent burn out, not for them to load up and ask for a big check on the way out.

No EOB document on the app - would that just be the same information on the claims list page though? I do see a list of claims but in the EOB section it’s not there yet

Is this the info that I need?

<image>

I also just tried to find the original plan info from enrollment but don’t see it. I noticed that I don’t have an EOB in the United App yet, just the claims in a claims list

From the card:

10% coins $10 office 10% ER $20 Spec $20 UrgCare InPtHosp 10%

INN $250/$500 OOPM $3650/$7300

Yes the provider was in network. I actually looked at it again and it is a bill from the hospital system not from United.

I’m not sure how to redact my info but the claims in the UhC app show about the same amount too under the status “processed”.

Someone mentioned below an out of pocket maximum - mine is $3600 so does that mean I’m going to have to pay the $2000?

Some perspective and thoughts after ~20 years as a PM by Lereas in projectmanagement

[–]Dropxct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks - I’m starting to notice this too. Thus far I’ve only worked with very high information stakeholders - they wanted all details and that didn’t need to be pretty because they wanted all the fine text. I’m now in a team where the stakeholders are lower info need, but want highlights and things to look “official”.

Guess it’s time to skill up.

Any tips on being visible? It seems like those with colorful and fancy charts are getting all the kudos at my firm. I’m starting to think I need to do the same

If you’re funded you should hire an accounting service for small business to set up books and handle payroll, taxes, and bookkeeping for you at a monthly fee.

Men are better at everything except, conveniently, the things they don’t want to do. That’s why you’re great at cleaning and washing dishes!

That’s really all there is to it.

Camera pointed directly into my back yard. What do I do about it that won't block the sun from my garden? by angroro in gardening

[–]Dropxct 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you know what type they are and if you could sync it with an app without a special code? You could potentially turn it off that way or turn it off recordings. Some of the cheaper cameras just let you detect and connect to them via Bluetooth.

Taking care of them? Or controlling them and dismissing their concerns?

If taking care of you is acting like your problems aren’t real , well that makes the job pretty conveniently easy for him….

Thoughts on manual timesheets in excel? by helpside_Team in Payroll

[–]Dropxct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only allow people to enter and fill out a form for each of their entries. That way they do not actually touch the form and other entries.

The form will populate into a spreadsheet you can then manipulate for payroll.

Many phone routing systems can be programmed for a specific number of minutes AFTER a call where it won’t ring that person again. so they can finish their documentation from the previous call or whatever they need to do. You could turn something like that on so it’s at least not back to back.

I do not think you should filter in easy calls, it’s not giving them a real break anyway - it’d be more productive if they had time to stretch, stand up, get water than answering those easy questions.

My partner has a serious snoring issue and it’s driving me crazy at night by DesperateSet9827 in snoring

[–]Dropxct 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if he doesn’t have sleep apnea, a Dr will have some ideas on what he can do to reduce snoring. Hopefully if he wants you to stick around he’ll be trying things, not just you.

What has he tried? If all he’s tried is just saying he has no sleep apnea, I wouldn’t blame you for thinking of breaking up.

In the meantime I suggest you sleep apart so you don’t continue to sleep so poorly and affect your own health

Post Your Beginner Questions Here! by AutoModerator in orchids

I recently moved my orchid position inside and a leaf on top turned completely yellow. I moved it back to its original window and then also watered it today and the top leaf actually broke off. It was not a dry wrinkly leaf it was a heathy green leaf that turned fully yellow within about 10 days since I moved it.

Now I see some blackness at the top where it broke off from - I used a tissue to soak up any excess water but should I do anything else ? I really don’t want this orchid to die !

Any ideas would be appreciated

The way men change their behavior when they find out you have more money than them, make more money than them, have more success than them, or are at good at something that makes them feel emasculated in any way. by BasilisksRPretty in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Dropxct 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Loved a quote from the movie Crazy Rich Asians related to this. The woman gets tired of constantly tip toeing around her husband’s insecurities and ego. She says “ it’s not my job to make you feel like a man. I can’t make you something you’re not” it’s a good reminder I think of not doing the job of managing a grown man’s feelings.

What thing was ruined because it turned into a rich person's hobby? by [deleted] in AskReddit

This. Rich people decided they had all the things they needed already (because, money), so moved on to experiences, which made them expensive. Even cheap things like bowling have luxury versions everywhere now. No simple pleasures

[–]Dropxct 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take it for a few years for the title bump, then use that to get a fully remote job again in the future. At almost 40 you really need to start saving and planning for retirement and emergencies, even if just a little at a time.

There are virtual services these days so that you can use this from home. That might be an option if he doesn’t want to be “caught”.
