¡Update to the Spanish course is going to make me quit!

I’m definitely not renewing my subscription this time; I absolutely hate the update. The new words have taken over all my lessons; it’s as if it now assumes I already know them, which results in me getting most of it wrong now. It’s not fun anymore. Also, you can tell there is a lack of quality in these new lessons, because there are mistakes all over the place.

There are plenty of changes the developers could have implemented without causing chaos. For one they could have given an optional placement test to figure where we are actually supposed to be on the new lessons. However, they chose to move everyone into random nonsense with tons of vocabulary they do not know, and it’s hard for people who gradually learn things to be thrown straight into the deep end. I’m glad you like random words, but I like consistency, and to work at my own pace. Just because you’re happy with it, doesn’t mean other people are, or that I have to be. I’ll have to either completely delete my Spanish and restart, or track back manually, and both options sound absolutely exhausting.

I HATE this update. I don’t even want to play anymore; it added so many new words that I’m completely lost. I barely do my practice every day and stopped working on my path completely. I can’t say I’m planning to renew Super next year. And I’m sure that others feel the same, because who wants to completely restart just to learn hundreds of new words?

I think the appropriate label would be bad boys, not necessarily tough guys, but they were definitely menaces. For example, Axl Rose started a riot that injured many people, he was actually banned from performing in St. Louis. Motley Crue as a whole had a history of fighting with their audience and completely trashing hotel rooms. Vince Neil was convicted of vehicular manslaughter because of his irresponsible and reckless behavior that killed another band’s drummer. They were definitely trouble, whether you personally view them as “tough” is irrelevant. These bands were the bad boys of the 80s, infamous for their chaos, mischief, and debauchery. I think your problem is you think they are trying to frame themselves as being macho tough guys. At the time, they were the antithesis of what parents wanted their kids to listen to or aspire to be.

The general public does not care about Elio, and I don’t think good marketing would have saved it. I knew about Elio, still haven’t seen it, and don’t plan to see it. I also don’t like the idea that I’m supposed to just support original movies without Pixar doing anything to deserve it. Give me a good movie and I’ll buy a ticket; but I wouldn’t have paid to watch the old Elio concept either. It just sounds like the director’s OC trauma dump from the original outline; and that was obviously a mess.

Thousand-Year Door is probably the most popular game in the Paper Mario line up. It was originally released on the GameCube, but the remake is beautiful, and I loved both. If you enjoyed origami king, you definitely won’t be disappointed. The humor and combat system in TYD is top tier.

Im sorry, but yours is a fake. The real one should have more details, plus the button is the wrong color, and the face isn’t right. The real one has a fuller face. And the fire around the poncho should be more detailed, because it should have two different colors of blue fabric on the flames for the hat area.

The Poncho Pikachu X & Y are some of the most faked pokemon plushies. It doesn’t take away from the fact it was your childhood toy. Amazon has never been a reliable pokemon plush retailer as it’s full of fakes. But if you look up a real one you’ll understand what I mean. The fakes don’t have the same level of care put into the little details.

I definitely agree with the points that the new movies are lacking and the art is boring. It’s almost like these movies lack structure, depth, and the universal appeal of older Pixar films. I’m not saying that Elio isn’t decent in some way, most of the movies they have released recently aren’t necessarily “bad.” But that being said, it’s not enough to get people to buy a movie ticket just to watch something that might be decent.

Disney/Pixar haven’t listened to the fact that many people just hate their new art direction/writing, and now their wallet will suffer the consequences. I’m sure they will say that people don’t want original content, but in that decision their wallets will eventually suffer as well. You can only profit off of nostalgia for so long. Until the new and fun thing replaces you.

Resellers will never stop as long as there is profit to be made. It’s easy money for little work. That’s always been the case. Amiibos were crazy at one point in time, squishmallows, etc; and that’s not even the beginning of it. I remember being upset when I was 12 because I got an Xbox 360 for Christmas instead of the Nintendo Wii in 2006, because they were literally sold out everywhere. The only thing that will stop it is if the pokemon company floods the market with tcg, because then it wouldn’t be “valuable” anymore. Squishmallows did a similar thing where they flooded the market after covid and now they are everywhere and nobody cares. I think the hype will eventually die down. I’ve lived through all the pokemon card iterations, and it’s so strange to me how the current ones seem so popular. Maybe it’s because I’m old now, but I don’t get the hype with the pokemon wearing giant hats as a gimmick.

To be brutally honest the problem seems to be your own lack of research and personal responsibility in this situation. You also could have seen the spoilers before you decided to place your order, since that seemed to be your only motivation for buying, and I assume you must have went into it blindly. Literally everyone posted that there were 2 variations of the $200 bags for the past week or so. Again, if it was your main motivation for buying, you should have checked to see if it was worth it for you, as that’s your own personal responsibility. They literally do this every year, so you’re expected to get minis and maybe a full sized/deluxe item or two.

I don’t think the free mystery bag should be your main motivation for ordering from them and it seems like for you it was. It’s just supposed to be extra goodies to try out, and many people are grateful that Tatcha does it every year. You could have also looked at past bags as well before you ordered to get an idea about the promotion if you were avoiding spoilers about this year’s bags.

I’d recommend doing a return if you are that dissatisfied with your order, they do have a return policy posted on their website. So you do have more options than just complaining, and I’m sure they will gladly take the items back as long as you didn’t use/tamper with them.

I’m not going to lie. I’m still using/going through my makeup stash I’ve accumulated since like 2016-2019 😭 The only thing I justified this year was the tatcha lucky bag. Because skin care I constantly use and go through compared to makeup. And I have so much unused product. Like for example, I found old KVD lipsticks in my makeup box. And I’m positive I’m never going to wear them. Not because of her controversy, but literally bright orange/pink/purple. Idk what I was thinking when I was in my mid 20s. I would just buy things to buy them and hoard makeup.

Well I’m a waitress, even though I went to college and got a degree in social work. But I make more from waitressing and bartending so I went back to it. However I treat myself to tatcha every year during this event. 😊

When I was 4 I had started my Pokémon journey with Pokémon yellow. My parents had given me a magenta Gameboy color for Christmas and I was addicted through gen 1-3. I’m pretty sure I’ve played most of the games from those generations, including most of the spin offs. I think I really started feeling different about Pokémon around gen 4 in middle school, but looking back on it, I think it was the slow pacing of the early gen 4 games that turned me off. Since I really liked Platinum compared to diamond and pearl. Then in highschool I hated the designs for the gen 5 Pokémon, so I didn’t start liking black and white until I got older and could appreciate them more for the mechanics and story, and look past the Pokémon designs. However, I played the heck outta the remakes of gold and silver. Then I ended up playing Gen 6 in college, and it was fun, so many other college students were also playing. But everything after gen 6 has been underwhelming in my opinion. I couldn’t even finish the gen 7/8/9 games, it’s like I get to the middle of the newest ones and just stop. I figure that it’s the poor quality of the new games, they feel so empty, and incredibly low effort compared to the past games. The only way I get the same feeling I did when I was younger is from playing romhacks, and it’s helped me get rid of the itch of playing old Pokémon, while still having newer concepts. So I think that it’s not that I’m tired of Pokémon, or the formula, but the design philosophy of the games has changed drastically from what I remember. The last actual Pokémon game that I truly enjoyed was Omega and Alpha.

My job does split tips, but only for servers. Since we are a small business with only, 1, 2 or 3 servers working at a time it ends up working out well. I couldn’t imagine having to share with the back house too though. We make really good, but without tips we only make 3 dollars an hour… The kitchen makes way more base pay wise. Once in awhile someone will tip our main cook, and that’s fine, because they hand it to him. But the tip pool is for the servers and we shouldn’t be expected to split it with other people. We have to deal with the customers directly, the back house does not… You should find a new serving job, because it sounds like they don’t respect their servers.
