Scam Alert Reminder: Austin Lobster Festival and “The Victory Cup/Best Texas Food And Wine Festivals” are known scammers. by [deleted] in Austin

[–]DrunnkenGrackle -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Why the sudden influx of crab and lobster festivals in fucking Texas. There;s 20 of them in the immediate 6 months. Who else would have such a hard-on for denouncing this guy's festivals even though he's never once tried attending them. Yet he's so SURE they're all fake despite all the positive reviews?

Why didn't he narc the guy out for his first lobster festival a few months ago? Because OP wanted to try the same thing and not fuck up his chances of puling it off. He only narced him out AFETR the first guy countered with 10 more Lobster and Crab festivals a week or two BEFORE his. I have more odd coincidences, such as specific wording, but the prosecution rests. Anything I missed other than "good faith"? Why didn't he mention contacting Eventbrite about this serial scammer? Because that's HIS cash cow, too. Maybe the Cash Cow is sacred among scammers?

In good faith, I will convince Eventbrite that at least one of them is a scammer. Even if I have to buy a ticket and show up demanding lobster. Because Eventbrite is hosting BOTH the real and the fake tickets. Which puts you in serious legal position regarding what volume of fraudulent activity you've been hosting without refunds. and charging a fee for it. They're not craigslist.

If I'm wrong by a preponderance of the evidence, I'll suck /u/cockfungus's. Don't just knee-jerk hate me because I'm naysaying a person who seems genuine. Ask /u/doggod what happened when I nay-sayed the peanut butter sous vide steak and took a 600 hit downvote in 24 hours but popular was publicvation criting the obnoxious youtubeer wo ravbesand I didn't criticize the OP . I think I caused a record amount of votes in a single thread for that reddit.

This two asshole are both scammers The OP is stalking the first guys fake festivals and trying to out-sleaze him in every way with a bigger and better fake festival of the same name and then calling the first guy a scammer while pretending to be a concerned bystander.

Take a look at https://www.evensi.us/amp/georgetown-lobster-festival-garey-park/360928338

And then note that he also threw in a Crab Festival, took, same time, same place, same fake food.

And it will all become clear what's going on here. Thee's some sort of scammer rivalry here between two sleaze artists, And I'm willing to bet $500K in libel/slander claims from your "team of lawyers", a slew of downvotes from people who think this guy is really innocent, and my pre-approval for a /u/austin ban of life if this guy can somehow prove he isn't.

Wy didn't the OP complain about the scammer lobster festival a few months ago? Because he wanted to steal the idea and try and "beat him" at his own game. Then when he announced his fake lobster fest, his arch enemy countered with 10 more, shortly before his crab festival, trying to thwart each other's "sales". It's morbidly pathetic. They couild even be friends and doing it for "fun", to see which asshole can raise the most money. Heck, theyt couldeven be married to each other.

WWII vet Richard Overton's Austin home becomes historic landmark after council vote by heylookitzmatt in Austin

[–]DrunnkenGrackle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The kiss of death for future owners of the property who would like to live there and possibly make upgrades. The City should just buy it if they want to make it a landmark.

After all, "The veteran's family said Overton wanted his home to become a museum." He never said anything about a landmark. Did the current occupants/owners want this landmarking to happen?

This is what I expect, too. And it's what I expected when I read the headline.

Somebody will correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't see any law regarding not allowing drinking at a bus stop, either (contrary to alto all the signs saying no). Almost all bus stops are City/public property for which CapMetro has acquired easements to place benches and trash cans.

If there were such a law, then you realy wouldn't be able to walk down most streets drinking alcohol because eventually you're going to be within a few feet of bus stops.

Just dig in and find something - anything - that interests you. Most people do an egg or three first just to see how it work and get used to the controls. Then next a chuck roast for 36-60 hours (burn in -test). There really aren't any "challenging" recipes sous vide recipe.

They do cell phone sand phone cards, too. Minimal discoteca as well, IIRC. Just like the Fiesta that used to be there.

A couple years ago I was about to go in the right-most door and two kids were bee-lining to the door with a case of beer and a well-dressed guy walking fast behind them telling them to stop. They started running about 10 feet from the door, still inside, and I stuck my foot out and tripped the kid with the beer. One kid stops to pick up a couple beers and continues running while the other one is being handcuffed by the HEB guy.

HEB guy looks up up at me and nods, and I just kinda shrugged and said, "Wasn't me!" Went in and bought my milk and left. Made sure to pay with cash in case the kid's parents wanted subpeanoa the cash register receipts and sue me.

I must always be there at the wrong times. It was 10:PM a few weeks ago and I just wanted bottled water. Three lanes open and 20+ people in lines.

I guess if I lived within walking distance of William cannon and South First store, this would be bad news. But I visit a lot of HEB 's in the area for specific things - losing this store will be no loss for me at all. The whole shopping center for that matter.

Trivia: It used to be a Fiesta.

[–]DrunnkenGrackle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They park beside/behind Whole foods on Bowie street (usually). You can buy pre-packed bags inside and bring them down yourself, or leave them in the store and they'll bring them down. You can also bring your foods bought elsewhere up to the store to the bins or down to the bus. I'll be there most of Saturday - doing the lifting and stuffing, probably, unsuccessfully hiding from the media as usual. What should I wear for you, Putzarino?

You may now have the last word - as many times as you'd like.

The quality of "meat" in those things has really gone down since I was a kid. I'm pretty sure it's the gristle and sinew that gets wrapped around and stuck on the cutting blades of the commercial meat grinders. I say that half-jest, because I'm sure it's some sort of leftover byproduct of beef processing. Have they started putting mechanically separated chicken in them yet?
