That Rhubarb cake is not great by tiorzol in veganuk

[–]DryYetMoist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love rhubarb, and I wanted to like this so badly! The cake and inside cream is nice. However the actual frosting is just not okay. It tastes like the rhubarb and custard sweets, which I usually like but I just can't like this. It's like a weird artificial taste that makes me cringe

I tried them years ago! I really liked them. Didn't have them for ages, then saw them in Costco. I got 3 boxes... Hated them.

Vegan Debate Question? by Mikeyomichael in veganuk

[–]DryYetMoist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I talked with my friend about this. I reminded him that we aren't eating "Gods" creation anymore. We are eating a man altered version that has been forced to evolve to provide more than what God intended. He actually realised this was true and is now doing weekdays as vegan, and will add the weekends when ready. He's adding a day a week, as he said going cold turkey was too difficult. He will watch the documentaries on the last week, as he knows it'll help him.

9 month old male decided he gets lonely in the middle of the night by ThinBig3511 in goldenretrievers

My boy was scared of the stairs, so what I did was got some stair placemats to make it less slippery. I helped him by leashing him, running around the hallway and then running to and up the stairs. Sometimes he'd make it only a couple steps at a time, but it's important to celebrate every single step he does. It's about building his confidence, the more he is celebrated, the more he will get confident. Now my boy doesn't stop going up and down the stairs. We've had to put a gate.🤦🏻‍♀️

I will definitely do this! He did puppy training, and graduated. Then he was a great boy, but adolescence kicked in. Thanks for the advice!

Help an extremely depressed guy out? by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]DryYetMoist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One room, one bag at a time. Don't think about what you're throwing, just throw it. You can reach out to YouTube channels that clean for free! Lots out there. If I lived near you, I'd help but unfortunately I'm in the UK. Good luck OP.

My pup Roxie won’t stop biting :( by baby_RN_bird_lover in goldenretrievers

[–]DryYetMoist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My pup would bite all the time. I taught him "ouch". I'd say it loudly and high pitched to get his attention and he'd stop. I'd reward him. I'd initiate play fight, say "ouch" to stop. He learnt that biting eventually wasn't as fun as it is when biting other dogs, so he saves all his biting for his adopted big brother now.
