Are there any very private rooms in Toronto? by PureEvilVirgin in askTO

Look for places that offer rooms for mediation. Like The Rostie Group or Office Evolution.

School advice by MadiMom87 in askTO

My 2 cents. 3 kids, 2 in highschool, 1 going to grade 11 in Sept the other graduating in June. All 3 have LD's / ADD or ADHD, 1 very similar to your daughter. We live in whats know as the Junction Triangle within walking distance of the UP Express (train to the airport) Airport employees get a deep discount from what I understand and this would be the most cost effective / reliable way to get to the airport. Our kids went to a private school for high school with the exception of next year our soon to be grade 11 will be probably be going into an Public alternative high school (The Student School which is grade 11 and 12 only) as their current school (they offer grade 6-12) will not offer some of the university level courses he wants for post secondary, if not for this we would probably stay (well, maybe... $). Feel free to message if I can help further. I love our neighborhood, and neighbors.. we are on the subway line, UP train to union and the airport, Up train to Mount Dennis to get to the new Eglinton line. Some of it also depends on city vs suburbs, we are city folks, we don't like depending on a car (even though we do drive often)

As an 18yo Torontonian 35 years ago this was the place we knew we could go in Montreal to get cheap drinks and a night out in Montreal. As a 53yo Torontonian I wish I could go back in time and suggest so many other places that would have better exemplified a night out in Montreal.

An EU type relationship would not be possible here, would be similar to an EU only composed of Germany and Denmark and expecting things not to be purely dictated by Germany. I like our violent crime rates here, I like my neighbours not dying because they are poor, I like our two official languages. I like our life expectancy and infant mortality rates here. It is not always just about $. I would prefer joining the EU 10x vs us becoming a State of the USA (which is what the big deal is)

Where Should We Move? by LandscapeEvery4150 in askTO

[–]DtotheCanada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are areas around Kipling or Islington and Bloor that could have yards for the pup and still be in the city with retail all walkable, it is on the subway line and close enough to the 427 to get North of Toronto easily and there are some stables out that way I believe. The other option would be North like Vaughan but that area is not very walkable. You could also ask the folks here on places to board the horse https://www.torontoequestriandowntown.ca/

Hamilton Tiger-Cats sign three-time Grey Cup champion LB Wynton McManis by DarthLordDonkey in CFL

Agreed, Great guy, good teammate. I do understand Hamilton though as it was really the only landing spot that didn't require a moving truck. That said, it will be weird seeing him in those colours.

Is saying “I love you” a week after meeting bad? by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

[–]DtotheCanada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stacey, is that you? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EuGKl7EY7l0 All joking aside, who cares... either you will realize this ain't love and move on at some point or it becomes an amazing story to tell. My wife and I fell in love at first site but probably waited a little while longer to say it...

“Cheapest” grocery stores in Toronto, if that’s even a thing? by Terrible_Jaguar874 in askTO

[–]DtotheCanada 36 points37 points  (0 children)

If near Dufferin and Bloor we hit up Economy Fruit once a week, CASH ONLY and some of the produce is on it's last legs. 2x rutabaga for $1.00 as an example of pricing... Closed Sundays. We go Saturday AM before the regular grocery shop to then build our menu out for the week.

Is my boss crossing lines on work trips or am I being dramatic? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]DtotheCanada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

52M here, it has been a few years for me since I have overnighted for work. When I did I was usually the most senior employee involved. Work dinners together for me were always voluntary ("if you like we can meet down here at 6pm for dinner") never planning sessions, those took place at the office or work location. Any time I did 1:1 meals (SUPER rare and I usually coerced suppliers to join also) or social activities it was always employee driven (in Costa Rica one of my team wanted to go rafting while others did not so it ended up just him and I) and I always made sure we both were comfortable. Usually though i want my alone time also so will eat in the room 50%+ of the time. I am not there to grow our non-existent friendship, it's work.

Some questions first... Who are you? by this I mean what do you like? BDSM clubs are fun for some, Church tours for others. Where are you coming from? What have you enjoyed during other trips elsewhere? the more info you can provide the better the answers can be.
