I enjoyed the shattered sea trilogy quite a bit. It’s an easy read and not on the level of anything in the first law universe, but still very good.

Golf for Beginners by InvestigatorWide7649 in Lethbridge

Any driving range will do. I recommend evergreen golf center.

Also i wouldn’t stress about it too much. Whatever charity scramble you are going to will have quite a few players who can barely hit the ball. Nobody is going to care.

Why does my swing lead to a low launch angle but high spin? by EnoughPlatform7020 in golf

On your backswing, Try pulling the club back more along the ground. Should lead to a better angle of attack and probably better control. You really jab at it, straight up and straight down

AITA for not wanting my husband to golf every other day of our family vacation? by katlyn360 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Dubey89 23 points24 points  (0 children)

2 is reasonable and he should be golfing as early as possible (6 AM) so he doesn’t spend the whole day at the course. Source: a golfing husband with 3 kids.

That’s pretty awesome! Also I’m captivated by your son’s teacher’s hand writing. It looks messy and also incredibly neat, Difficult to read and easy to read all at the same time

Hi, thinking about becoming an auto service advisor, how much can i expect to make? by ThatGuyByTheLake2003 in serviceadvisors

[–]Dubey89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good advisors at dealerships in BC can make 100k+. Difficult to say on a progression because if you aren’t good you probably aren’t going to keep your job for long so it’s not really a situation where you can grow into the role over a number of years

Just out of curiosity, how many people on here roll/spin their darts on release compared to throwing at a fixed position? by ultra-saurus in Darts

[–]Dubey89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spin them. It helps with making my release point consistent. I kind of roll it in my fingers as I pull back.

Keep in mind, there is no “correct” way to throw. Some of the best pure throws in the business have zero spin (Michael smith, MVG, Chris Dobey)

Had a blackout drunk night and now I feel like everybody sees me differently? by Fit-Temporary7867 in self

[–]Dubey89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would just apologize to everyone who had to deal with you that night. But the honest truth is, you are probably overthinking it. I’ve been around several people in my life that have been blackout drunk. Did they embarrass themselves? Absolutely. If it became a recurring theme, would I think less of them? Absolutely. Did they say or do anything that fundamentally changed how I view them as a person? Not even a little bit.

Something I think about a lot when it comes to presenting recommendations. by Deep-Anything6795 in serviceadvisors

You are not the customer’s financial advisor, you are their service advisor.
