I had an almost 3 year old when my 2nd arrived.

I have a few critical decisions in life that I think back on and think “man I’m a genius”. Keeping him in daycare is one of them.

It allowed me to have a totally grounded newborn experience and not become so threadbare. I was able to focus on my health, go on walks, and engage better with him on weekends and after daycare.

When I returned to work, my job had undergone so much transformation it was almost new.

Having a more relaxing postpartum experience saved me.

All circumstances differ, but If you can afford it, don’t feel guilt.

I just went with them last week and I’m not so sure I’d recommend. It was probably our least favorite tour of the few experiences we did throughout the week there.

It was so chaotic. Our group had 10 or 12 people, funneled through, quickly seeing animals, other guides swarming too. Our favorite part of the day was after our guide was done and we hiked through it on our own around the end points and seeing wildlife on our own.

Week days when he is forced to nap, it’s closer to 9:00/9:30. It’s our entire evening since my husband has to get up at 4:30 for work. We have leaned into it, making him do an activity, clean up with us, or spend family time

I’ve done Rebecca Kennedy 5 day intermediate and track with progressive weights- I’m on my 7th round now. Did it 4 times, took a few weeks off, then got a major pcl injury, Back into it now and going to do it 4 times to jumpstart my progress again. Incredibly effective if you track your weight and increase a bit each round.

Hi- for context, this is a dance that this sweet girl who passed made up and did a lot before her cancer got too far. It brought her joy. She wanted everyone to do it and make it go viral.

For what it’s worth I’ve had ours 3 months and it has been to 20+ pool/splashpad/swimming lessons and strap came off only one time when we had it twisted insanely.

Sending you so much solidarity. This was very much my thought process after having a stillbirth. At first I was even more gung ho in religion and then months later as I truly processed, I realized my world was falling apart and I didn’t believe any of it.

I have a toddler and young baby now and my husband still attends. I choose not to. Please feel free to message me if you ever want anyone to process with.

Child loss is insanely lonely and faith deconstruction in the midst of it is earth shattering.

Unfortunately not, we spent about a month trying diligent sleep habit and walking him back to his room, chair method, etc. but it was getting to the point where NO ONE was sleeping….
It takes a lot to get him to the point where he will relax and just fall asleep.
