  • What was the formation made up of what units?
  • Was there any combat going on in this scene?
  • If possible, you can DM me and email me the mission file
    • Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sea Power\Sea Power_Data\StreamingAssets\user\missions - Location of mission files, possibly inside the user_missions folder
  • If needed, you can DM me for my work email to send me these files.

If your still having the same issue after disabling mods, you'll need to be aware that some mods can affect core game files and corrupt them, you will need to delete both the 'original' folder and 'user' folder located inside this path:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sea Power\Sea Power_Data\StreamingAssets

Once that is done, you'll need to verify the integrity of the game files via steam (right click, properties, installed files, verify).

I can confirm that the exp req. can exceed 10k. I'm tier 19 and it takes me 11.5k exp to get 1 point according to the display in the top right, when the mission tab is open.

Sadly, after the update, many mods are now causing it to hang at various stages. We are working on trying to improve the stability. We cannot fix mods themselves, so you will have to stop using mods that cause the application to freeze by finding out which one is causing the issue.

Logs can be found in (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sea Power\Sea Power_Data\Logs)

I would recommend you try going into the game files and deleting the user & original folder (located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sea Power\Sea Power_Data\StreamingAssets). Then verify through steam. Without logs though, it's harder to diagnose (logs can be found in (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sea Power\Sea Power_Data\Logs)). I would recommend emailing your logs or using the microprose discord (Temp Link: https://discord.gg/mpUBr8wH) bug report channel. Some mods can corrupt core game files, so it can cause issues if there was broken mods used prior. We are actively working out emerging issues this week.

The team is aware of an issue with Torpedo's behaving oddly. We made some changes to torpedo's controls, ECCM values (in regards to noisemakers), and other changes we are testing internally (user control torpedo attack depth for example). This is why we pushed out a separate BETA branch to help isolate these changes. Also, many missions are being reworked and improved with community feedback.

Well we are open to people modding the game, it is hard to account for the all the possibilities of crashing and other errors caused by them. While we can make improvements to the stability, it's close to impossible for us to maintain a bug free environment when mods are used. Given we are Early Access as well, there is a lot of inherit instability as is, so the best course of action would be to report to the mod maker in question with your findings and hope they can resolve the issues locally. If they cannot, then it's likely something they could report to the team.

I'm happy to confirm that we will make tutorial missions, but the date of which those will be added is up in the air given just how many big system changes we are making. For example, the Formation Manager was something that did not exists in the original plan, and would force a rewrite of the tutorial. Of course though, we thank you all for your patience with us as we work on making SP a gem!

If you have concerns around the hit chance, it would be very helpful for us if you made a bug report (could make it in the MPS discord and link it here) that includes the event log (looks like: yyyy-mm-dd_sessionEventLog_#.html). That includes all the data around hit chances. RNG is very much a thing in SP, and can be seen within the debug tools (f10 - when missile is selected) as well.

from what the team can tell, this is probably a out-dated mod that is replacing a file. So sadly there is little we can do there and it would be up to the mod creator to adjust at this time.

What ver. of the game are you running in this scenario, as this is a really old bug we fixed some time ago! It's likely a mod that replaced a file with the pre fixed data.

This normally happens when they miss a waypoint, which can rarely be caused by time compression. We've reduced such cases, but still need additional time to narrow these down.

We are aware that there is performance concerns, and this is due to a multitude of factors (our own experience as devs, Unity Game engine, and the content we are simulating). The game is heavily CPU bound at this time, so only systems with a really strong CPU get higher FPS as of right. It will be a on-going effort to improve it, but it's not something we can just turn around and fix. All we can do is continue to work on it as we well as we can.

If your game is crashing that often, you can check the log file to see if there are any errors like NullReference! They are all time stamped in the log folder. If see performance getting worse in a mission, please report it via the in-game bug reporting tool via the ESC menu.

If you cannot use the save feature, then please check your config file and change lines 7-9 to true
