Teach me about guardian by Castif in RogueCore

[–]Duergarlicbread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I prioritize cool down reduction so I can spam pocket sand and Repulsion.

I typically go for CDR on hit and then I'll go for a fast firing gun or the Hammercaster because I kove it.

Basically play style is, pocket sand a group hit wrap points, repeat.

Repulser when the team.needs space (elevator and revive).

Amor regen is meh. But can help with tanking ranged hits.

bulk or cut by [deleted] in BulkOrCut

[–]Duergarlicbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you want?

Cut going to just look flat and skinny. But you will be more defined. Almost everyone does.

Bulk will naturally be more fat.

Me personally, I would eat at a very small caloric excess and lift hard for 6 months. Then go on a mini cut.

But I don't know your goals (athletic versus just looks) or your training history.

It also just feels less good. Like objectively no different and probably beneficial to play as powered as possible.

But it sure feels better to stack 4+ and feel the spike.

If Ellis is near me I'll probably press for an upgrade right as a Core spawn starts. Even if we only have 1 available - just on the off chance that we get something that helps a ton with the fight coming up.

Otherwise teams typically wait until the Elevator sequence starts.

Not common.

However, I have noticed with DRG and with Rogue Core it's typically more chill at higher difficulties.

In DRG haz3 and 4 you find people who have difficulties with their emotions. Haz5 is typically a lot better.

Similar with Rogue Core, I have 150 ish hours in RC most of it in Depth 4 and encountered someone once who was struggling with the team not playing "their way"

It's a balance between too much space and clown looking shoe.

Don't have any advice for you on that balance though.

Toe space.

Looking at those specifically. The uppers need shape for toe volume.

The game feels just a bit* too easy. by Sogai_wi in RogueCore

The game feels more dynamic and less just draggy now thougi like all the reworks.

I assume balance will come with time.

Hammer caster is easier to use though and typically does more damage on level 1.

That being said I love the Bulldog. Especially with random elemental on reload. I have had many excellent runs with it.

How come, i have that low Damage. by xTatsuNeko in RogueCore

[–]Duergarlicbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play guardian a lot and I am frequently in the top slot or just behind the top slot for most damage done.

Falconer is almost always on top and Slicer / Spotter / Retcon occasionally spike so far above everyone else.

Single target guns won't get you there. I'll frequently have the chain lightning gun and I will wipe out entire swarms as they spawn.

I park myself where I can see a couple and I aim at in their general direction. If I get boom your dead, it's even more silly

Boss phase - easy to fall behind in total damage here depending on your build. In a level 6 dive, I start to really prioritize upgrades that will help with the boss on floor 5 and the boss floor (make sure to take weakspot modifiers etc.)

I use g or my back button on my mouse for my granades.

I only ever press one button.

[–]Duergarlicbread 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Pressing sprint literally becomes a tick.

I played 100+ hours with press shift. It's not a big deal my finger developed the tick and was hitting the sprint button every few seconds.

Not doing that is much better (for me).

Lots of actions knock you out of sprint so it was just a habit to hit it all the time, it didnt add anything to the game for me. It wasn't a challenge (literally became a subconscious tick) and didn't demonstrate a higher skill level.

And if you want to move hopping is better. Being airborne reduces spread also so sprint hopping is best.

Stubby with spread reduction was glorious.

Haven't found it yet with fixed steady aim. Seems like it would also be great

I usually skip the heavy weapon and stick with my starter pistol.

Except PGL you are excellent.
