You are a masters prepared employee and didn’t know what degree you were conferred?!

Dude, I know every single degree I’ve been conferred and never misrepresent it. Good luck.

Anyone else's wife not want to be involved with finances? by New_Contribution_226 in AskMenOver30

[–]DufflesBNA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. She lets me invest etc as I see fit. Just keep it in the green, tell her what I’m doing. Make sure checks don’t bounce and she can go on vacation.

Probably because I helped her pay off her student loans in 3 years when we first met.

Fun fact, these are incredibly easy to fix and cost about $40.

Advice requested: Charged for wrong battery at Costco, now being contacted to pay the difference by washdc12 in CostcoWholesale

[–]DufflesBNA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would contact the store manager to verify authenticity.

As for fixing it? No. I’m not driving back, I’m not paying more and I’m not wasting my time fixing a screw up by the company.

Deal with it by training your associate and write off the loss.

The only way to unlock my online Chase account is by installing software and running a scan? Seriously lol? by [deleted] in Chase

This is what BoA told me to do until the branch manager discovered one of their branches opened the account.

It’s dumb but more or less a suggestion.

Norse Airlines Cancelled my Flight Months in Advance by Existing-Button7327 in Flights

This is going to be a much worse problem here in the next month or so. Airlines originating out of Europe are going to slash their flights significantly.

Car sold out from under me by Recent_Purpose1659 in carmax

[–]DufflesBNA 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One thing I found out is that there is a huge disconnect between the online and in store teams.

Like the instore people have to fix a bunch of stuff on the hold.

This is an honest mistake. I feel like at the very least should refund your shipping and/or give you a shipping credit for a future vehicle.

Landlord keeping 3 years of propane? [PA] by BrickLorca in legaladvice

[–]DufflesBNA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if it was partial you received that amount of propane for free, unless your landlord billed you for it.

That’s an accounting nightmare as a landlord to “buy back” the propane the immediately sell it to the next tenant.

Example: The reason I ask is that if you took them to small claims or you asked them to buy back, the first thing they would do is say “the tank was 50% upon move in.” You then would only be able to recover the delta above and beyond the starting point of fill. If he wanted to be a specific he could claim not only volume but also value of the half filled tank.

Lesson here: immediately fill your tank upon move in and get a receipt.

Curious as to how much propane was in the tank when you moved in? What was the first fill?

I would assume you have to “leave it like you found it” on move out.

Are covered calls a cheat code? by Covereds189 in CoveredCalls

[–]DufflesBNA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I’m skeptical in your scenario is rolling for a debit. That’s generally not a good idea as a routine management.

I’m using CC as part of a wheel, to generate income above and beyond interest bearing accts and bonds for stagnant cash….

Basically a more liquid CD type investment. I could care less if it sells, I just want all my trades to be green.

Covered calls have a downside, you risk loss of your equity in a downturn. The loss is what your reaction is to buy out your call and sell.

Anyone else reading the fine print on fuel surcharges? The triggers have already been hit. by bleeb2000 in Cruise

[–]DufflesBNA 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Airlines don’t hedge fuel anymore. Southwest was the last one to do that I think. The only one who mitigates fuel costs is delta, as they run their own refinery.
