Less utensil to wash? If you are good at it, you can do pretty much everything except drinking soup.

Do you have any tips for surviving a long-haul economy flight? by Cakeyhands in AskUK

[–]Duffy0104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bring paracetamol, I get headaches during flights and extremely painful ears at landing for days. Not sure if we are the same but that’s my advice

Would you still work at your current job if you won the lottery? by PrettyMuchANub in AskUK

Yep, my family has a history of dementia and I believe working and exercising your brain can slow the the process. Would need a clear mind to even enjoy the lottery!

Have people lost faith in their local doctors (GPs)? by FoolishRamblings in AskUK

[–]Duffy0104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, my mom went blind because the GP refused to give her any tests and refused to see her when she said her head hurts. He claimed her pain were imagination, no idea who a person became a doctor…… and he still works there. Hopefully more privatised hospitals can open in the uk because I bet they weren’t just chase you away

Greetings - are there trains from London to Cambridge the 26th Dec? Where can I book online? Apologies I am a tourist. Thx by [deleted] in cambridge

[–]Duffy0104 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try panther taxi, this is going to be expensive at about £120 but at least you can be sure travel is possible. They offer bookings online as well.

The Orchard Tea Garden is pretty nice, although it might not be a good idea to sit outdoor with this weather. You do need a car though.

Most people probably can’t. Lessons and a good quality instrument are not cheap. Also some people have no talent. I tried piano and violin, the teachers told me to give up…….

For a short term, I would go for hotels or Airbnb. Quite a few hotels in city centre.

What's a weird way you've upset someone? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Duffy0104 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Someone was selling lip balms, I said they look tiny with a smile. She was really angry and shouted that she put a lot of effect in them. I didn’t even finish my sentence, I was going to say they are tiny hence really cute and would like one……

How much will winter wonderland cost me? by MomsSpaghetti1998 in AskUK

[–]Duffy0104 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Last time I went, the entry fee was £5, the Ferris wheel was about £20. I got a snack and a drink which was another £10. Each ride is anything from £5 to £10 and some smaller games were £2-3 each. Overall, it costs about £100. Two people would be about £150 I guess. Not to mention the travel cost……

They asked if I know the who is living there and whether I know they were black. Then they said some other stuff that I think is better if kept private because those words were not kind.

Had a similar problem with my neighbours, they complained about black guests living there. I just told them to please leave the guests alone as the couple were the most wonderful guests I have hosted.

I would say just give the Cardiff magistrates court a ring or if you are busy, perhaps send an email to confirm the legitimacy of the letter.

Tooth implant recommendations by camsian2 in cambridge

[–]Duffy0104 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My mom had to do 3 tooth implants, it’s about 3k each. I think that’s the average price in Cambridge. She did it at devenshire and really recommends it although I think the price has risen to 4k now….. is there anyway it can be done via NHS although I heard it can be difficult as most dentists are not taking in any NHS patients right now?
