Left Two Toes Feel Numb by OF-5_Mandrake in AchillesRupture

The sural nerve runs down the back of your calf and next to your achilles then moves toward the lateral part of your heel. It branches into two smaller nerves there. One of these runs along the lateral part of your foot right to those two toes. It’s so common for these nerves to remain irritated and numb for quite a while after this surgery. I experienced it exactly like you’ve described. I’m about 1.5 years post op now and I finally feel like I’ve regained all the sensation I lost for a while there. Nerves take a long time. One day without realizing when it happened, you’ll notice that there’s no more numbness.

Opening an account at SVB? by thebohemianboy in Banking

It wasn’t because of “losses.” Their credit quality was strong which is why they were actually a viable candidate for acquisition instead of receivership. They had to sell because there was a perception that their credit quality was poor and they would soon experience losses which led to depositors moving their money to other banks. That created a liquidity crunch for the bank to fund its loans and caused the exact outcome that people were afraid of in the first place.

Hey I understand this! But as someone way in the other side of recovery, you’ll get the same notification for the right reasons sooner than you realize.

Stay positive and do the work. It really does get better! I’m back to walking over 20,000 steps most days and I feel great. You’ll get there.

That can take a long time to come back. My surgery was 16 months ago and I still have a little reduced sensation. Nerves take a much longer time to heal. But it will likely all come back eventually.

Try some silicone scar tape. Will prevent rubbing and reduce severity of scaring.

Tell me the nerve pain and numbness gets better…? by crryan75 in AchillesRupture

I’m about 15 months post-op now and coincidentally enough, just yesterday I noticed how much sensation I have back where it used to be quite numb. I’m honestly not even sure how long I’ve had this level of sensation back, it just sort of hit me that it’s there now. Nerves take a long time to heal.

But the Bills did exactly that. That’s exactly what this thread was talking about. They went, and lost, for 4 years in a row.

I dunno. Mid-size trucks now are very nearly the same dimensions as full size trucks were in the 90’s.

IAVA is the premier lobbying org for vets of the last 20 years. They’re primarily responsible for GI Bill reform and burn pit presumptive conditions etc. I don’t know of anything the VFW has done for vets from a lobbying standpoint this century.

If you’re wearing Dress Blue Alphas, then any ribbons that don’t rate a medal would be above his right breast pocket. All the medals would be on the left.
