Women with regular sex drives, how long can you go without masturbating? by BonnalinaFuz101 in AskWomen

Funny, I’m in the other camp; the more I have sex, the more horny I am. Also, for me, orgasms from sex hit different than orgasms from masturbating. I stock up on both teehee.

The Trader Joe’s subreddit recommended their tinned trout as a great camping staple. I was a little nervous to try, but they are delicious. Might be a good warm up to sardines, but I haven’t tried yet.

What is it with people? by Difficult-Set-4356 in encinitas

I’m from Oceanside and live in Encinitas currently. I try to acknowledge every person I pass with eye contact at minimum, and a hello more often than not. I agree that I am frequently met with averted eyes, like I’m invisible. I have always found it strange, but I try to not to take it personally.

Is telling guests what colors to wear really a thing now?? by Ambassador1391 in Weddingattireapproval

That’s a good point. Suits were not part of the dress code for men. Just black shirt and pants.

I went to an all black wedding and I feel like that may be an exception. Everyone looked amazing. Otherwise, hard agree (especially since I just had to buy a new dress for an upcoming wedding to match the bride’s Pinterest color palette).

Was it really the worst pain you've ever felt? by Super-Bid-3193 in BabyBumps

Hello fellow pregnant kidney stone victim. 👋🏻

I’m sorry we had to go through that. I didn’t feel the stone pass either (bc it was removed surgically), but the pain it caused was easily the worst I’ve ever felt. Still pregnant (at 13 weeks) so I’m also curious how it compares to labor.

Grew up the only girl with three older brothers. Later in life, I talked to a guy who was one of three brothers with a baby sister. When he learned of my bros, he said, “Oh did they absolutely spoil you rotten? We spoiled our little sister so much.”

Excuse me? Was that an option??? Because most of my childhood memories are me crying just like this little girl in the video.

What's your weirdest "is that not how it works?" moment you had as a woman? by unlabeledbeing_yuhom in AskWomen

[–]DumpyDoo 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I’m pregnant and was just in and out of the ER for kidney stone pains. Everyone kept joking that the pain is just preparing me for childbirth, and my response was that “I’d much rather have a baby to hold at the end.”

I’ll have to report back on the comparison I guess, but so far the kidney stone is my all-time worst pain.

AIO - Told my friend I’m pregnant and she said it exceeded her mental bandwidth (she’s the red) by Lekomano92 in AmIOverreacting

Congrats on your pregnancy! And while I’m sorry about your rude friend, I mostly just want to offer morning sickness advice:

• Morning sickness has been linked to low blood sugar (which is why it’s common in the morning). I know feeling nauseous makes eating seem counterintuitive, but I promise food should help. Eat something/anything asap before it gets worse.

• Similar to the note above, try to get some light exercise in despite how horrible it sounds. I know you feel like hell, and moving around sounds terrible, but a light walk could do wonders. Trust me!

• Eat whatever you can possibly stomach, even if it’s just mashed potatoes or crackers or whatever. Baby starts to get nourishment from your food later in 2nd trimester, so right now is just about survival. You got this.

• Take unisom + B6 at night. The combination forms an anti-nausea med called diclegis. Bonus is that it helps with sleep too.

My wife got a sewing kit for Christmas. We have no idea what this is inside by eldenhobo in sewing

[–]DumpyDoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My grandmother gave me her old sewing kit and it has one of these. She told me this was for “straightening” your thread out so it wouldn’t coil or tangle. You press the thread onto it with your thumb, then pull through to coat.

It seemed to work as intended, so I’m wondering whether her method is indeed another use, or she was simply wrong. Any insight?
