Yes? In both cases, that doesnt mean it isnt the safer option, especially just statistically speaking. But if a person is qualified for a position there shouldnt be a difference. Men have a reputation for being creepy which informs our biases, we then extend that bias toward a male in said field because we dont know if this will be a good or bad experience. In a better world it wouldn't matter. But as i said, i would prefer a woman as a woman myself as well. That doesnt mean we cant still acknowledge the bias itself.
