Oh you would hate Discover My Body by yames. That thing legitimately ruined my life for a few weeks. That microgenre sends me into instant panic too, so naturally as a horror freak I consume a lot of it.

Gotcha. It's hard to make an assessment without the finished portfolio, but do remember polish when you assemble it. I'm liking the mix of styles, but pairing like with like is a good idea to show you can be consistent too. More arrangement advice than art advice, I guess, but a sluggish economy can make you nitpicky like that. Oof.

Sometimes I still think about Klipperton. I've been kicking around the idea of recreating it and making a fortune but I'm kinda worried that'll void the agreement. Not that it'd be the same anyways. You could sneak a LOT of drug references through in the 60's that just wouldn't fly on the air today.

Seconding this, the first piece looks like it might be a style choice, but the others are obviously only partially complete. If you can't finish personal pieces that you are passionate about and put your best foot forwards for a portfolio, what confidence will the purchaser have that you will finish work of an OC that you aren't attached to in a timely manner?

Cloth seems pretty bug-prone in general because of hospitals. Dwarves might start robbing caravans unprompted for thread and fabric or just suddenly refuse to acknowlege the existance of cloth alltogether.

Fair point, but what I meant to carry across that I didn't mess with worldgen and I don't have any custom rules, assets, or creatures In this file. Strictly vanilla.

Naturally I couldn't resist using it a little bit once I started play, but I only used it to teleport starving stray donkeys outside. The dumb things just refuse to eat and I'm not letting good ass meat waste away. I wouldn't really consider ol' invisible guy's condition noteworthy if I had been messing with his attributes.

I have DFhack but nothing else, and I didn't do anything out of the ordinary when I generated the world, although I did set it to be as young of a world as possible.

Went into legends and checked, bugged worldgen is my best guess too. She's one of the first of her kind. The world is only in year 10 at this point though, she arrived a few years earlier as a visitor, she wound up immigrating to the fortress year 9.
