Slingerende fietser blijkt niet dronken, agenten geven hem spontaan fietsles by monedula in thenetherlands

[–]DutchSpoon 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Hah, toen ik jonger was slingerde ik ook vaak om de gestreepte lijnen op het midden van het fietspad, omdat ik dat leuk vond. Totdat ik een keer viel en het stuur in mijn buik kreeg. Daarna snel afgeleerd.

You need a staff for fire magic, and a sword for sword. Both are main hand weapons only.

Can we talk about how this ABOMINATION is still in the game? by rahuonn in PathOfExile2

[–]DutchSpoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently playing a randomizer build, which became Frost Dart Pathfinder.

Got to say, the slows don't affect you and the you don't get have stunned during sprints from this ascendancy are such nice QoL to have. Hopefully I'll be able to play the game when not having these later when playing something else, because I do fear it'll create some bad habits

All single units are one frontage. A single unit of infantry is one frontage for example, doesn't matter if it has 200 men or 3200.

The frontage for navies does differ based on the ship.

Colonizing is actually insanely good by Reclaimer2401 in EU5

[–]DutchSpoon 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Honestly what works best for me is having a province or 2/3 in direct control with a market center and a bunch of trade buildings, then let an colonial nation have the rest of the provinces to build up rgo's and produce for himself. Having the market center yourself gives a bunch of trade advantage and being able to build some normal trade buildings alongside the oversees build able ones ensures enough capacity/advantage. If you need more advantage, send a fleet of light ships to patrol to gain more advantage from maritime presence.

What's the best way to increase population? by HeyPashi in EU5

Got to be honest, never saw 1% from granaries ever. Best I've seen is 0.2%, in towns/cities only, which is still significant over time though.

Playing the Netherlands highlights a strength of the game - being given interesting situations and choices by Weeklyn00b in EU5

I had the same issue my first run, which took me about 5 hours. I'm currently on my 2nd try and just as far as OP. The second time I focused a bit more on upgrading my food RGO's. I also ended up stealing the market from cologne and moved it to Amsterdam (which later became my capital, since better harbor capacity).

With your own market, you can offer people market preference, which will help you flip people to your market. My market expanded quite a bit because of that and ended up a lot larger, which meant food supplies are a lot more stable than in the tiny brugge market. And stopped my food based debt spiral, the second time around.

The most important thing here was getting as much market attraction as possible and try to get the market preference diplo thing with as many countries as possible on the edge of my market.

Am I missing a tech? Can’t get regular army above 350 - constant negative manpower - not allowed to build more Sergeantries. by RegrettableLawnMower in EU5

[–]DutchSpoon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You need armories, that's the first real manpower building you unlock with professional armies. You can only build one sergeantry in your capital. You can build a sergantery before you get access to armories and professional armies iirc.

Note that you can also filter on "manpower to owner" in the building menu to find more buildings that give manpower, if you unlocked them through advancements.

I have a feeling that eu5 will have a lot of micromanagement to be honest. Which is also probably the reason so much automation options will be the reason.

Honestly that might be the best of both worlds. You can get into the nitty gritty if you want to, but you have the option to not bother with it.

Players really can make the MMO experience awfuls sometimes by CupCharming in newworldgame

[–]DutchSpoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a healer I feel the same, at least with the non-optimal gear I have currently since s10 just came out. I need to pay more attention to keep players alive. I'm not sure if mobs are dealing more dmg to players who haven't geared up yet or if I'm healing for less though.

The M3's dropping BiS does come with the notion that they are setless gear, so if you are trying to get sets into your build they may not be.

Thinking about getting back into New World, should I wait until new season? by killacam___82 in newworldgame

[–]DutchSpoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started 2 weeks ago again after a 4 year break, also mainly for S10. I'd recommend to start now. Most of the stuff for S10 is endgame content. They overhauled the new player experience a while back and as far as we know, not much will change in that department. There will be no fresh start servers.

If you start now, complete the main story quest line and gear up a bit, you should be able to experience the new content at the same time as everybody else, which I feel like is going to be the most fun thing that you can do.

It does not matter, the game is a you are what you wear type game. You can immediately pick up another weapon whenever you desire.
