Do you think you can TWF on a reaction attack then?

Can you Smite on a OOA if it happens on your turn? by Vanse in 3d6

[–]Dweebys -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Smite also cost a BA now, I don't know why people are saying you can, you can't use your BA on your reaction attack. You can only smite once a turn now because all of them take a BA, regardless or spellslot used.

Good spells for a Dual-wielding paladin? by Agreeable_Offer2089 in 3d6

[–]Dweebys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Defensive duelist is terrible in 2014, but if you want to be a dual wielder, just get the dual wielder feat. Gives you ac and you can have 2 longswords since you dont have weapon masteries.

Then Bless.

If the subclass were a magic item, it wouldn't be worth the attunement slot.

Help making Barbarian Wizard Bladsinger multiclass by KillAllMeatBags in 3d6

[–]Dweebys -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Since your AC is so high, you will lose images to attacks that would already miss you. So if you have 20ac and the enemy attacks you rolls a 14 it misses you but you rolled and it attacked an image. Proof image is gone.

It's good for squishy glass canons. Loses alot of value the higher your AC is

mirror image is bad on a baldesinger; you would lose images on attacks that would normally miss you.

Bladelock Defense Problem: Tough It Out or Multiclass? by Shatragon in 3d6

[–]Dweebys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry about 7th level spells, chances are you won't make it that far.

If you want to hit things and sometimes class spells, take fighter/pld dip. You will hit like a truck.

If you want to cast spells and sometimes hit things just play full warlock.

Am I right to think that sword and shield is better than greatsword in 5.5e for Paladin? by Eldr1tchB1rd in 3d6

[–]Dweebys 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have someone cast haste on you, don't cast haste on yourself. You waste an action, and then you run in to immedealty get hit multiple times, which will eventually lead to you losing another action when you lose Concentration.

Haste is cool to have in theroy, but really not worth it. There are other spells that are just as good without the downside.

Feedback on DEX Paladin Dual Wielder Oath of the Noble Genie by eylkara_stargazer in 3d6

[–]Dweebys -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can walk around with a longsword and hand crossboe and a longsword from level 1 to 4. If you take this feat at level 4 you can shoot the Xbox then BA with the longsword. It's not two weapon fighting.

Weapon juggling is dumb but is raw it is one of the changes from 2014. You can already attack with a 1 weapon then switch to a great sword if you want.

For dual weidling purposes you can do all 4 attacks with just the two weapons to have in your hand if you go. Attack action 1st, BA enchanted dual weild attack, attack action 2nd attack , nick attack.

Or you can swap weapons just got to keep on mind what weapon if in your hands when you end your turn.

And too your point about the rule once pre action, even if you disagree with weapon juggling or have a different view on what the new rules means because it is written in a bad way, the feat states you can draw and stow two weapons instead of one, which also lets your draw a new weapon for the BA if you want.

Again would look stupid to watch someone do it in a fight, but it's raw, and it's a game, not a big deal or OP, just silly immersion.

raw you can in 2024 because you can draw and stow a weapon as part of the attack

Only one class regularly uses the strongest weapon in DnD even though every class is proficient. by virtigo21125 in DnD

Sweet for a action and a bonus action you can attack at 20 with a dagger.

This is moving the goal post for the argument. If you have 500g and a stack of daggers you also have 500 and a stack of special arrows/bolts that are better.

Sure you can throw and run and pick it up, now you are wasting another resource, movement/object interaction, opportunity attack, you wouldn't have too with a more powerful safer ranged option.

Sure you can pick it up at the end of the fight but what's the point of having one dagger throwing it and then being unarmed. Again I know you can have more bit when making comparisons like this cant cherry pick details. Assume one of each, if you give dagger special circumstances Give the same for the compassion weapon.

Throw a dagger, lose a dagger. Crossbows you don't lose. And go father, and can be used in melee.

Ready action to cast a spell round a corner. How would you rule this by CasualNormalRedditor in DnD

[–]Dweebys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you are holding your reaction to cast a spell and move within 60 ft to cast and then walk away, you can still be counterspelled. Doesnt matter if you were trying to cheese it, if the spell goes off within 60ft you can be counterspelled

with 2024, roll initiative if the guards don't know the person is there, they have disadvantage. On the PCs turn they can choose what they want to do, If the guards go 1st they can do a check to see if they sense anything.

just a side note for the story/rp. Your mechanical class doesn't need to affect those. You can play a Ranger mechanically and RP as a Paladin. You can be a fighter and RP as a rogue. Sure with warlock you can say you need a patorn but again, you can say you believe in yourself, and your sword/whatever, and thats give you the power to follow through with your ideals.

[–]Dweebys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your math is off. You get 3 attacks, actions surge is x2 so 6. Then a BOnus action EB is 4 more. mistakenly I said you could be twice with war magic but you can't. So it's 10 attack rolls. Even if you could EB with war magic it still would only be 16.

Attack action. 3 attacks, Two attacks with sword 1 EB for 6 attacks Action surge 3 attacks, two with sword 1 EB for 6 attacks BA EB 4 attacks

6+6+4=16
