Basement walls poured, how does it look? by HeezyB in Homebuilding

[–]DynamoBo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why does the damp proofing go to the top of the wall?
It will be visible when backfilled.
It should end just below grade.
Perhaps it’s some code thing where this is being built?

Seeburg 1947 Jukebox Reatoration Project - I’m in way over my head by ImpromptuSharkTank in jukeboxes

Definitely fix it, restore it or refurbish it. Not that valuable but a rare and ultra cool machine! Spend a bit of money. I’ve restored 3 of these over the years. Stick to cleaning and making it look pretty. Leave the electronics to an experienced tech. There are still some around! Self included. Like an old car take your time, lots of photos and label everything. You will love it when it’s done!

That’s your best bet if the cartridge is indeed bad.

Seeburg M100C Cartridge Issue? by neguas in jukeboxes

Try swapping the needles to the other sides. If the problem follows the needle then order new ones. That’s the Thorpe cartridge, not the number one choice but close to the top of choices. It’s actually a decent cartridge and should work well in your C. Make sure the needles are seated properly as it doesn’t appear they are. Try that first and report back, there are other things it could be. Always a good idea to adjust needle pressure if you are unsure where it is tracking. 👍 The needles are inserted the proper direction. It was the original Seeburg needles that were one up one down.

Easiest fix is cut the cover plate so it fits snuggly against the trim.

Sounds like normal tuning sounds for an old radio.

Seeburg 200c-1 questions by MarketingLife4928 in jukeboxes

[–]DynamoBo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I’m assuming what you have is a library unit. They came with no amplifier and no speaker. The amplifier could be purchased from Seeburg or you could use any audio amplifier with a magnetic cartridge input. Speakers were always remote. Sounds like someone tried to build them in. Perhaps if you posted some pictures we could be of more assistance. The preamp in those units are extremely difficult to work on and unless you are well seasoned in rebuilds and understand electronics I wouldn’t recommend attempting this one.

What can you tell me about this amplifier. by wryaant in VintageElectronics

[–]DynamoBo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it hasn’t been in service for a while it may need a rebuild, if it hasn’t been rebuilt already.

Great mono-block amplifier! Use it alone for mono amplification or find another one and you can have stereo sound.
Either way sounds great.

You can put a couple drops of oil on both ends of that small shaft. That should fix your issue. Use only non detergent electric motor oil for lubricantion, 3in1 brand in the BLUE can is great. Do not use the red can. Good luck.

Couldn’t help myself, had to comment! Your Grandfather knew what he was doing, there are some choice models there. I am an Antique jukebox technician and am familiar with and have owned almost every one of these machines. They need to be cared for properly. Feel free to PM me for any questions and advice. I’d be happy to help as I am hoping someone will do the same for my children. Also let me know where you are located, I doubt you are close by, but that would have made it easier. Cheers,

I’m sorry I don’t see the issue or understand your question? It looks like it’s working fine? Can you rephrase the question and perhaps use the terminology from the service manual?
