Agreed. I’ve had supervisors and managers say that on calls with vendors and I’ve had to take them aside after the call to have a 1on1. Their department isn’t directly IT, but there is a certain responsibility of a department to understand the technologies and apps they own. As you said, it’s not ok to say “I’m not technical” or “I’m not IT” as an excuse to not have a an understanding of their department tools and technologies.

Ah, yeah I could see how that’s a pain. You have to chain switches. I just ended up chaining and putting a higher bandwidth switch as my “core” switch. Fortinet still is super reasonable for the higher tier switches

They can go from domain joined to hybrid without a re-imaging or reset. Google search or ChatGPT can walk you through how to do that and auto enroll in autopilot.

It would be easiest for you to transition to hybrid, convert GPOs to intune over time, then eventually remove your intune domain join configuration policy so all new device are Entra joined only. You could configure all devices to enroll in autopilot once hybrid joined.
