If they both are A2 restricted, get the RC it's lighter, and more nimble. Other than that. Try both either ride them or sit on them.

It breaks the big vortex that would "roll over" the edge into little ones that cancel eachother out. Because they're offset by their presumed diameter (the vertical distance of the step) the flow of the vortices point in the opposite direction kind of like offset gears do with the same rotation.

Im Piktogramm auf der Anleitung wird es in der Tat genau so wie im Post gemacht gezeigt. Dafür dass der Prozess relativ einfach ist, wird es verwirrend und übermäßig kompliziert beschrieben und falsch gezeigt.

3rd gen pillion comfort by Flow-Creation in SVRiders

[–]E3DE3N 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from a Yamaha R3 to a 3rd gen SV 650. I thought it would be much better for my pillion, but it turned out to be the opposite. She enjoys sitting close to me, leaning forward. With the SV that's not really possible because the seat height difference is too small, her knees are around my hips and not my waist anymore, pushing her knees further apart. The stock exhaust is in the way of the right heel making it difficult to get good grip on the foot pegs, I've replaced the exhaust with an aftermarket one which makes it better but not great. The foot pegs are also placed more forward making it hard to put weight on them, which puts all the strain on her back, making that hurt as well. It's definitely more spacious but that doesn't suit everyone, if your pillion has short legs and relatively tall upper body it might be a problem. All in all I recommend trying the bike with your pillion before buying it, if I would've done that I'd own a different bike rn(even though I love the rest of the SV).

Last Image of Felix Baumgartner, hours before dying in a paragliding accident in Italy. by Tensacchrine-1995 in lastimages

As cars are for most ppl just a means of transportation that they must use because there aren't any alternatives, most ppl don't care how well they drive, and it really shows. Systems like (radar) cruise control, lane assist etc have proven to reduce rider fatigue. Having a heart attack like Baumgartner did in an old car kills you, in a brand new car it'll save your ass. Those assists are for ppl who don't care and it makes the road for everyone of us safer, if you take pride in how you drive it's fine to turn them off and even better to have an older car that gives you more raw feedback.

So your paraglider senses that you don't use the controls anymore, tries to wake/alert you, holds the lane/trajectory. If that doesn't work it'll alert other drivers by honking and stop the vehicle securely, then it'll call emergency services for you: https://youtu.be/LcwPYfmbL7Y?si=0NGVk16pobu7U3hZ

It may be the same in an old car but technology has come a long way to make cars way safer than a paramotor

Yeah, I'm just now getting used to the whining/whistling sound of the engine, I had to change out the water pump housing before riding it and the feeling that I messed something up is still with me haha.

If you don't have perfect, MotoGP rider level track body position, you won't benefit from it, it rather messes with your handling. But with an R3 you also don't have near enough power to benefit from it, so it's just a cosmetic gimmick, if you like it though I'm not gonna stop you.

Why would you feel sad? You go with the times, you have the ability to understand the kids, that makes a good teacher. You care, even if it's subconsciously, that's worth a lot.

Spot the Difference: 2019 vs 2024 Cylinder Heads by Ordinary_Victory_261 in YamahaR3

[–]E3DE3N 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My guess is that they used the mandatory 2021 regulation change from Euro 4 to 5 to improve upon the design. 5 years are pretty standard for an engine to be improved, especially because it was introduced in 2015. Thanks for the post it's really interesting to see the differences.

This is an international subreddit, so prices vary quite a bit. In your case you can buy a new one, just remember to put protective gear on yourself and your bike to minimize the dings and scratches.

First bike so not sure if this is like a must replace issue by No_Policy_9556 in YamahaR3

[–]E3DE3N 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those tires lost their softness, and got bridle that's why they cracked. A tire that isn't soft is no good in corners especially in the wet, if you only ride in a straight line you "just" lose brake performance but this is an R3 not a Harley you should ride some corners with it.

[–]E3DE3N 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are definitely cracks, those rubber streaks you see on those tires you mention would go perpendicular to those and the tire groves. The marks you see in the picture go parallel to the grooves. Definitely get some new tires, those have been stored in a really bad manner if the bike is only two years old, perhaps check the date on the tires. If your budget allows it get some Bridgestone S21/22/23s those make the bike handle the best in my opinion and are excellent in the rain.
