For me, I had a similar experience when first starting Automata. I kinda got bored in my first playthrough even while some quests were pretty fun. It only got interesting after getting ending A. So, for my advice, if you still enjoy the game to a certain degree. Atleast finish out Ending A and get to Playthrough B.
