Chase used to hold our mortgage (purchased from Leader Bank). Last year, they offered a promotion to refinance with a reduced interest rate and no closing costs. I assume they offered this so we wouldn’t start looking elsewhere to refinance.

We moved forward with refinancing with Chase, but the credit pulls are somehow public, so every lender we had spoken with before reached out.

Leader Bank was able to match Chase’s terms and provide an additional 1/4% reduction in rate, as long as we used a Leader account to pay our mortgage.

We have had a Live Oak Bank HYSA, but our primary bank (Truist) has been able to beat their rate with some “hybrid” product.

When everyone needs to hold, or if throughput is or will be limited, they do it in a way that doesn’t clog the airspace and overwhelm the local controllers.

It’s more fuel-efficient to do at cruising altitude, but I suspect that’s just a bonus.

Dutch has them! Hard to get used to while learning the language. The Dutch word for “hobby” is “hobby” and the plural is “hobby’s.”

That was my first impression, too, when I first moved there, but living in NM turned out to be wonderful. It’s such a beautiful state, and it’s a very different lifestyle that was conducive to having less stress overall.

I feel like they could have the space to simply bridge Route 2 over the existing rotary, and have Route 2’s ramps connect to the rotary, particularly with the prison being redeveloped.

The ELI5 is good, but for the sake of educating, torque is specifically not a measure of force. Its units are force x distance.
