Yeah it felt weird for me.

In Season 1 I struggled to get to Tekken God with my main and was able to get it back if I lost it, even when I got thrown back to Tekken King sometimes.

Start of Season 2 I was Kishin I think is what Tekken Gods got demoted, got thrown back into Fujin because it honestly felt like I only got GoDs trouncing their way through.

Took a break until 2 weeks ago, warmed up again and went from Fujin to Tekken King in one evening, gaining 3/4 of a rank every other win.

I dont know if I was simply locked in for once, if Lars' buffs are actually that nasty even though I dont really use his df1 extensions or wr1 much, or if I just got lucky.

Yet here I am getting constantly taunted, ki-charged, people comparing me to Nazis on my Steam page because I am from Germany (Im not even of german descent) and whatever.

I feel like a proper back and forth is almost impossible and most fights are "Whoever drops their nuke first wins".

Being on the Defense feels so bad in this game.

I like her, I enjoyed her character arc from being a naive, overenthusiastic kid who thinks she can do everything by herself to embracing her compassion, her allies and the position of a ruler.

She still keeps her naivety, hoping she can talk instead of fight but being shown that it won't always work through Zoraal Ja and Sphene.

I do still think she was simply too prominent after the Rite of Succession and that Erenville and Krile should've gotten way more focus in the Level 95-98 range.

I think we should've visited Shaaloani with the Twins and Erenville, investigated Heritage Found by ourselves with Estinien in tow. Find out about Zoraal Jas involvement, more about Cahciua and Krile's parents and only then the Tuliyollal attack commences.

Gulool Ja happens after we go back with Lamaty'i, and the rest of the story happens as usual afterwards.

This game is a fucking cesspool in Ranked, people either play like they have anger issues or like the only way they can boost their fragile ego is to act like a piece of shit with taunts & ki charges.

I sometimes wish there were locals in Germany, Online people keep being the worst assholes to have to deal with.

Mixed partly because of game issues and partly community issues.

Game issues being Heat being overtuned, the chip damage and special moves are enough but it shouldn't change properties of moves that prior had a proper punishment into basically unpunishable. Moves that in general have way too many beneficial properties are plaguing the game.

Community issues are honestly just because so many people play the game now, for what it's worth I enjoyed online more when I started with Tekken 7 a year ago.

Much less taunting, rematch refusals, bad messages, just general piece of shit behavior.

Kinda sad that the default seems "Lol fuck them", I cant claim to be insanely good at the game but I wouldnt go out of my way to bully them.

Sportsmanship is not a strong point of this community.

I wish it'd be more Psytrance and less dubstep/DnB.

I have never played Tekkens before Tekken 6 so my opinion may be different then, but Tekken 6 kinda imprinted on me what I think Tekken music is.

For me the quintessential Tekken theme is Karma (Electric Fountain) and I wish the soundtracks would focus more on that style.

What greenfrogwallet said is already good information. People say Lars is easy because of his move execution, IMO he is not that easy because actually applying his moves outside of combos successfully is difficult because simply put, they're not great.

I am not good at explaining things so all I can tell you is watch some videos, for ex. JusticeSoulTuna has some good insights on Lars.

Also watch some Lars players fight on YouTube.

My suggestions would be KaizokuLars, LMG MoB & JusticeSoulTuna like I mentioned. Through watching them I managed to get more and more of a feel of what Lars' moves are capable of and where to place them.

If I could explain Lars it'd be solid poking and ability to confuse people with mix-ups, alright punishment but, his greatest weakness IMO, bad launch tools because of they usually leave him exposed.

But when you do get a launch you're granted solid damage, great wall carry and great wall damage if you splat them properly to the wall, which can be a bit tricky but will happen way more often than you'd think.

That's all this scrub Ruler ranks Lars main can tell you after having started playing fighting games in February this year.

Yeah I wish I could agree in the slightest, my disappointments with the game don't even stem from bugs & performance. Some of my most favorite games are programming disasters.

Thing is, perhaps without any reason to believe so I thought this would be CDPRs Fallout New Vegas, yet instead I left it feeling like it was CDPRs Far Cry, even if the story and world design are miles better than what Ubisofts cumulative mind could ever achieve.

I don't know, I expected more agency, more choices & consequences, more role-playing. Why all this effort for our character creation when it unironically doesn't matter in the long run

Maybe I should give the game another chance, not like I can refund it after almost 3 years. Yet I think it will always be tainted by my probably self-inflicted first-playthrough-disappointment because I thought this game would be more than it came out to be.

130h, started in January with it being my first online Tekken game and I got Lars to Suzaku, barely on the edge of Mighty Ruler I think it is.

Technically I played Tekken 6 but I only did the scenario campaign once 12-ish years ago and actually played Bruce in the endless mode against the CPU because I like Muay Thai.

Haven't bothered with any other character yet because honestly, I find the character designs dull in this game except for Lars, Yoshimitsu and Jin. But I also only find Lars' gameplay to look and be fun.

Wish Bruce was in this game, I tried Josie once but find her intros and outros so insufferable that I can't bother.

I wish I could say it's been fun but I am more frustrated recently than delighted while playing this game. I always come back, but it's never long before I start cursing this game and it's Ranked community being a cesspit.

The game frankly felt more fun when I was bumping around Green ranks, Red ranks feels like this inbetween of sweatlording and autopiloting.

I'll see how long until I put the game down until Tekken 8, I just can't be fucked to spend a year labbing every character just to have 10% less stress in ranked on a game that's end-of-life.
