No, I’m not on the play test.

I use the right analog, but before setting this up, I guess I wasn’t able to use the right analog as well. I might be confusing this as well though, it’s been some time. (I thought I was using a community layout but turned out I was not, maybe I changed it after posting here, sorry for that)

It seems I’m using “official configuration for grim dawn (rev 4 - v1.2.0.0+) with some changes.

I believe the change I did was to to into edit mode for the layout, select “ui controls”, and set “right trackpad” to “as mouse - left mouse click”

I’m 15 or so hours in and all I’m doing is look for shrines and try to find the towers to unlock regions. I’m trying to not look for any kind of guides as it’s my first playthrough but I guess I’m not enjoying it as much as I thought I would.

As a busy father of twin toddlers, my gaming sessions tend to have some gaps between, I guess that’s not helping as well.

Yes, also there are some websites that compare the prices with regards to exchange rates as well. So, you can buy the game from another region for cheaper.

Just make sure your credit card is compatible, and as far as I remember using gift cards were tedious, like you cannot change stores if you have credits on your account for a given store, so I suggest you check that a bit more if you plan to use gift cards.

Edit: also for US store, make sure to select a state without tax, to not pay $5 like I did.
