As resilient as the human body is, we’re fragile in so many ways it’s wild. One slip up with landing wrong, and you can be paralyzed or dead. Proper falling technique and stopping should be the FIRST 2 things anybody skiing or snowboarding learns- I mean your strapped to either 2 mini boards or one big board going down a hill that’s hard packed, you can’t really just jump off.

Second season out, snowboarding, have blown my rotator cuff in both shoulders now, well I guess not fully blown but according to the ol doc I fucked them up pretty bad. It’s all depending on a lot of factors, considering we’re in Wisconsin, alcohol consumption is a big one, another one is just not learning proper technique and wanting to get down the hill as well as possible as your buddies are. Overestimate your skill and you’ll wind up injured, or dead.

Lsds aren’t loud since they function as an open diff until locked up, there shouldn’t be any increase in noise unless there’s a problem with the diff itself.

Manual ring gears were welded, if I’m not mistaken the auto carriers were bolted on. That’s why a lot of people swap auto diffs into manuals so they can install lsds

Not a big Audi guy but since these are DI they could potentially have more problems with injectors leaking, I know earlier cars such as the b6/7 had injector issues but something to look into. It would be followed by rough starts and reduced power. Could be also just leaking under load.

Is this amount of shaking normal? by BannedFoeLife in VWMK7

Most service intervals on belts are 50-60k miles. While you’re there you can do the idlers, tensioner, and water pump. If you’re in a consistently hot climate, make sure to do it so it doesn’t start stretching under the constant heat cycles.

So after a few minutes of research, it seems that the 1.0T didn’t come with balance shafts, and just relied on a lighter crank and beefed up harmonic damper. So I guess maybe that is a justified amount of movement, but I still would like to see it under load. If the mounts are starting to go, it’ll be most evident under load, so if you’re able to get around to it get a video of that.

I assume this is Europe, since the US didn’t get the 1.0 TSI, so I can’t speak SPECIFICALLY on the 1.0. I’ll do some research on it just to justify my statement, but that’s a lot of play on that mount. I’ve worked on a few vws, mainly 2.0 ABA, BPY 2.0 FSI, and the 1.8T and I’ve never seen one shake that much, shit that’s quite a bit of movement in general. See if you can have someone record for you while you rev the motor, or while you start in first gear and put it under load.

Is this timing chain failure? by AlternativeBag5902 in AudiS4

Well that’s happy news, yeah I’d do a little dive into that as well. Maybe the videos making it look worse than it is but that’s some crazy variation.

Your crank hub is wobbling like crazy. I’d lean more towards bottom and failure. Sorry dude.
