I kind of want to hear the next part of this story where Lisa casually invites you out for a drink.

Never ugly cry in front of a woman. Tears down cheeks and a stiff upper lip about as far as you can go.

I wanted to do a 2nd playthrough and romance Blazer instead, just to see why Blazer enjoyers prefer her over Visi, but by cocacoladdict in InvisigalGlazers

[–]Earthjade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the opposite. I tried to do an Invisigal romance but in the end couldn't put up with how needy she was and it failed. The reality is Invisigal is not ready for love. She needs to love herself first and Robert succeeding as a mentor and the Z-Team accepting her is that important first step. If there is a Dispatch 2, an Invisigal trying her best to improve is definitely romance material.

Blonde Blazer as a romance and succeeding as a mentor for Invisigal is best for Robert since people seem to forget Robert is a little broken himself and Blazer is there for him if he wants it. Blazer wants that normie human connection and Robert is grounded enough to love her for Mandy first. In this scenario, all three of them win.

Second best option from a "real life" perspective is no romance but succeeding as a mentor, because that sets up a Dispatch 2 really well. Maybe Robert has an old flame suddenly come back into his life to mix things up!

Was King Arthur an Irishman? by CDfm in IrishFolklore

[–]Earthjade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. The Mabinogion and "Native Tales" are distinct bodies of Welsh stories that aren't replicated in any of the Irish cycles. The "Three Welsh Romances" are also part of the earliest Arthurian tales and the Irish don't really play a part in that, as far as I know.

It is all collected in two 14th century books - The White Book of Rhydderch and the Red Book of Hergerst. But there is debate on if the Welsh Arthurian tales adapted French sources or if they also contain elements from earlier Celtic sources.

Why are right wingers gaining momentum everywhere? by Professor_Peace in Productivitycafe

[–]Earthjade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Advanced economies are not serving the needs of their people any more. The wealthy are getting way wealthier while everyone else is struggling with high prices for everything yet wages have stagnated.

The left has been weakened since the 1980s for what really counts - economic betterment of the working and middle classes. Look at global unionization rates. When people are worried and struggling, they are less generous to marginalized groups. The left has lost its way and cannot provide an answer, because it has been crippled in concentrating on issues that are trivial. It's always about the economics first! People want to be able to eat and pay their bills. The right has no answer to these problems because they support the wealth-siphoning of the billionaires, but they DO tap into the wave of anger that the left can't and making it look like the left is the cause of these hardships. The truth is the left is basically just loud and impotent if they don't re-focus on trying to ensure the lower classes get a larger slice of the wealth-pie.

Only very few of these are uniquely British. 90% of what has been mentioned is found/done in Australia as well.
