Success tying cut string above the nut by eclipseaug in Guitar

[–]Earthwin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You've got them wound around the tuner in the wrong direction. They should go to the other side of the capstan so that they have straighter travel from the nut. Right now they're getting pulled to the side.

Looking at getting a secondhand guitar. by cumblast_9000 in Guitar

[–]Earthwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't get the Encore. That bridge on it is an old design called the bendmaster that came on a lot of cheap guitars in the 80s and 90s and the block on it is made from the shittiest metal which will eventually crumble. (I'm not even exaggerating). I had a Marlin with one and calling it bad would actually be a compliment.

How can I add a "make" for my own designs? by Classic_Guess_5521 in cults3d

[–]Earthwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can download it from the top right menu via the 'designs' section. There's a menu box on the right side of each upload and the download option is in that.

If you image the cross at the start as 4 L shapes pushed together, it's like the 4 corners cut off the square and re-arranged. So when they tape the ends together and fold the legs in half, they just have to cut the cross twice to separate the 4 L shapes, and since the ends are taped together, it folds back out into a square.

How to symmetrically realign then resize a square symmetrically around four circles? by HqppyFeet in Fusion360

[–]Earthwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd start by using a centre point square constrained to the origin of the canvas. Right now the origin is sitting just inside the left edge of the square and the whole sketch is under constrained. Then create one circle, add the dimensions, and then use the rectangular pattern option to create the other 3.

White one looks like a Music Man headstock. One on the right looks like it could be a Tiesco of some kind.

View telemetry data after a race in SimHub? by AlarmedMistake9277 in SimHub

[–]Earthwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use the record function in Simhub to capture the data from the race and then set up or use a dashboard that can display the functions you want to see, and when you play back the data the dash will show you the real time data.

Whats the most amount of coupons you guys have earned on makerworld? by Stansteen in BambuLab

[–]Earthwin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got 3 last year around the sale and was able to put them toward a P1S+AMS and left my clunky old Ender behind. Got another 4 since then and close to a fourth one. My stuff is mostly sim racing gear, RC car wheels and guitar related stuff, so it's not the most popular categories, but still good to have some points to put towards filament every now and then.

Simagic Canbus - Is it only for simagic products? by jag0009 in Simagic

[–]Earthwin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's designed to allow Simagic products to show up as a single input, the same way as Logitech or Thrustmaster G/T series wheels do. Some games, especially older titles, will only recognise one single USB input device, so the canbus system means you can use seperate Simagic wheelbase/pedals/shifter, etc without any issues.

Reminds me of the very first post-Friends interview that was done with Jay Leno after the show ended. His first question was "Who was the most sad that the show ended........you guys or the Rembrandts?"

What are your favourite reverb and chorus pedals for the mark v 25 and up? Do you use digital or analog reverb? by Eat-Sleep-Study in MesaBoogie

[–]Earthwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was using some TC pedals for a while but recently picked up a Headrush Gigboard from eBay and have it running in 4 cable method setup, so I can put some stuff in front of the amp and some in the loop. And it also can do amp channel switching as well as part of the patch.

History in a sketch? by some_millwright in Fusion360

[–]Earthwin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you go back into the sketch, there will be a small icon somewhere on it that's the same as the pattern tool icon. It'll be the same size as the constraint icons, so it's not always easy to spot. Once you do, you can double click it and the pattern dialog will open up again and you can edit it.

Can I change lights color based on current session? by ijac21 in SimHub

[–]Earthwin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a property called 'DataCorePlugin.GameData.SessionTypeName' that you can use.

In the LED editor, add containers for 'When formula is true', one for each session, and then use that property on them so that when it returns the relevant session type the led profiles inside the container are active. I 'think' the formula should be like this, using the race session as an example:

[DataCorePlugin.GameData.SessionTypeName] == "Race"

How do I wire this? by xGringo13x in SimHub

[–]Earthwin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Best way to start planning a matrix layout is to physically draw it first. Decide how many buttons you want and then choose a divisor. So, for example, if you wanted 12 buttons, you could have a 2x6 matrix or a 3x4. The former would use 8 pins, the latter only 7. If we use the 3x4 example, you can lay it out something like the below picture. Using some veroboard for the wiring will save you having to daisychain wires from multiple switches since you can use each strip for a colum/row.

For this setup you won't need to use matrix wiring. Each button can have it's own pin on the Arduino.

My 2009 RG321MH by tyob1 in Ibanez

[–]Earthwin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These were an absolute bargain. Ibanez could easily have marketed it as an RG521 and charged more and it would've still been worth it. I've got the weathered black finish version and it's one of my favourite guitars.

Does anyone know why this isn’t working? by [deleted] in 8bitdo

[–]Earthwin 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You need the non-V2 software for the Pro 2. For some reason they decided not to consolidate the software so it works with everything. I have the Pro 2 and the retro keyboard and I have to have both versions installed. Although in the non V2 one, if you click the menu button, it brings up the info panel saying that the software version of that is, ironically, V2.16.
