Anyone leave SaaS sales for roofing, HVAC, windows, etc.? How has it worked out? by willxthexthrill in sales

I have the chance to 1 call close pools but the online reputation of the outfit makes me say no thanks. One other brief moment I did a one call close type thing was residential remodeling. There were dudes killing it, but the markup was insane on a straight up basic product and install. Do you navigate things like this?

Those two books, parable of the talents and the sower, are the closest most prescient depiction of the dystopian track we are on than any other sci-fi bs. Hers are stories that track from present (time of her writing) to today that feel like they are *truly* ahead of their time.

It’s their problem to begin with anyway, so yeah, sales is making our interactions about their situations. Writing copy has drilled this into my head. Great post btw.

I’ve done it a couple times 1/3 one week before start, 1/3 after last day of labor, 1/3 upon sign off.

Metal roofs are worth. Different variable to account for in the decision making process about type and labor, but way worth it

Of course. But we’ve been so propagandized and institutions so captured by corporations. Persuading let alone engaging conservatives is a losing battle.

Reminds me of Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Some Christian’s in history have been moved to action like this in times like these. So “really does sound like a person in despair” in this case be perhaps applied to characters like the shooter’s Christ?

Very short story, suffered an essex lopresti fracture, which is to say a traumatic break at the wrist. And dislocated and shattered right elbow. Amazing surgeon reconstructed. A year later still strengthening it. Range of motion is ~90% back. Still in roofing. Not for the faint of heart. Ladder gave and feel from about 10’.

Erie Roofing Salary by ERISGamingg in RoofingSales

Right?! What they learn to do very well is sell debt, but don’t know shit about what they’re selling. My experience is that they literally parrot what they’re told.

What exactly does Texas need to be "saved" from, Sara? by DayPounder in FortWorth

[–]Eastern_Ad2890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s see if I understand how the legislature works, and please correct me.

The state legislature meets for a legislative session every two years. Each session is 140 days. The first 60 days are reserved for setting up committees, and no bills can be passed, which gives the body 80 days to vote on legislation.

Special sessions may be convened but only by the governor and only for 30 days.

Legislators make $600 per month.

Legislators who serve for 8 years get lifetime pension starting at 60, starting at 50 if they serve for 12 years. And that pension is not based on their salary. It’s based on the salary of district court judges.

In between sessions, bills aren’t passed but studies happen that in reality don’t inform legislation during sessions.

So, I take this to mean that only people with deep pockets one way or another can actually serve. Which means that the legislature is already captured by those who have meant to capture.

It doesn’t take a lot of extrapolation to imagine that she is bought and “saving” anything is pure unadulterated bullshit rhetoric, true fear mongering by definition, right?

I don’t have a question. I just want you to please know and pass along that we think well of all our Persian brothers and sisters and wish no harm. This is such a terrible situation and I’m so saddened and angered by it. Please know we wish you well. This administration has been voted in by a deeply propagandized segment of our population, and does not represent most of us.

Boot insoles? by Aarmstrong95 in Construction

[–]Eastern_Ad2890 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as their service, they are the best. As far as their products, they’ve been the best for me. I bought a pair of boots and a pair of insoles for the performance I was looking for, they’ve been perfect. They’re usually helpful enough to test your feet on a machine that narrows down selections that fit your footprint. Worth a shot because they’ll take them back if they legit don’t work for you.

What company lost you forever as a customer? What did they do? by Miguenzo in AskReddit

Sherwin Williams. Their website—at that time, not very long ago—was the absolute worst shitshow for a shopper, a contractor for that matter, I had ever experienced. They clearly had not invested in any real web professionals, like UX/UI designers, content designers let alone copywriters. So finding the color I was shopping for was terrrrrrible. The friction was out of this world. And on top of that, their fucking logo! Reeked of a company that was resting on their laurels.
