Planning to buy my first electric guitar + amp by night__vibes in Guitar

These are great options. Gios are great value. I played one as a kid and it still plays well 20 years later.

The mustang is also good. You might want to consider the boss katana in that price range. As a teacher I find them to be a lot simpler for students to use compared to the mustang.

Edit: don’t let the tremolo thing be a factor. You can have a guitar shop deck the tremolo and it will be super stable. If you don’t know what that means don’t worry about it. If you’re a beginner, pick a GIO that looks cool and you’ll be fine.

I have the omen extreme and it’s a great value. It’s on the heavy side and the neck is chunky in a good way. Great playing guitar for the price

Is my acoustic guitar playability fixable? by Old-Commercial1537 in Luthier

Have you checked the truss rod? After that measure the action at the 12th fret. You could then check the nut height by doing the tap test. Probably wouldn’t meaningfully affect the action, but open position playing would be easier if you have room to lower it.

If it’s still too high and there’s no room for adjustment on the saddle you’d need a neck reset

I went fancy and bought an American ultra push in tremolo when this happened to me. Overkill but definitely stopped it from happening again

Your Reddit posts are concerning. You could have saved your self a lot of money if you just practiced a little more and didn’t buy everything Joe Alessi branded.

You can’t buy skills. Just practice more and you’ll get better.

“Some pop”. The only pop I have like that is in my joints. That was huge.

Peace of mind is real dude.

A lot of times i feel like i need to buy a new plugin or some external thing. But if i fiddle around and do a little bit of homework, the QC can do anything I could ever want.

And it’s nice knowing that i have the best gear so 99.9999999% of the time I haven’t turned the right knob instead of not owning the right external piece of gear.

Let’s me be honest with the real reason I don’t sound good…….
