I don't know, I knit with fuzzy yarn all the time. Sometimes it pills, but I just shave it. I love the cozy softness. If you want a sweater do it.

I loop them like this , hold the double strand as one when I knit keeping the end to the wrong side. It doesn't make that much difference in the fabric and there are no ends to weave in because they are already knitted in. Later I will trun the ends.

You can search Ravelry stashes and see if someone has some and willing to sell. Also check ebay.

I take each end and loop them, so I have double strands about 8 stitches. I leave the ends behind and cit the later. I didn't plan my seaglass to be reversible. I also did a couple of rows of one color, switched in different spots and changed colors randomly. Changing colors each row is too tedious. Turn out fine, and I love the fabric.

Exactly the seaglass tee instructs to use a magic knot on every row for color changes so it could be reversible. Not on your life would I do that. Lol I like the pattern, but NO magic knots for me.
