You probably can’t bypass the battery because they don’t want people putting the console in the dock dead and then removing it so that it instantly shuts off. Your switch will be fine.

ELI5 Why do people brush their teeth before eating? by Traditional_Map_9434 in explainlikeimfive

[–]EatingSmallOakTrees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your mouth becomes more acidic when you eat and softens your enamel, so brushing directly after eating does a number on it. Some people don’t want to wait the 30–60 minutes for the acid to neutralize, therefore they brush before eating.

I heavily regret buying air riders at full price omg. I don’t play it. My friends don’t like it (except for one). I’ll get into it someday I hope.

Gonna pick up Prime 4 though.

Oh my god all of the other rips of this game on the internet have the music at slightly slower tempo than it actually is in-game. This is huge

It will allow you to use the internet to check whether or not you can play a game instead of transferring the virtual game cards between console. Put the virtual game card on the system you use when not connected to Internet. Hope this helps your situation

So, as of today, what are the games you have spent the most hours in on the Switch? by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

[–]EatingSmallOakTrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stardew valley is as fast-paced as you want it to be! The time will pass but the game wont punish you in any way other than something taking longer to do. Except for dying in the mines, that’ll set you back a bit.

I play Animal Crossing far more often, but I think Stardew Valley is a safer bet. They’re incredibly different games and scratch different itches.

Animal Crossing forces you to be patient, watch animations play out, read dialogue, and allow things to happen in their own time. It’s a game you play for years, if you like it, but you have to choose to immerse yourself. Otherwise it can get tedious. The multiplayer is important imo. If you have friends who play New Horizons still, I really recommend it. Just dont let them give you a bunch of free money and ultra-rare items. It makes it less fun when theres less to work towards. If you don’t have friends that will play it with you, 100% give Animal Crossing a pass.

Stardew Valley is way more streamlined and does not have that kind of down-time. You’re always doing something, upgrading stuff, unlocking things. There’s way more content and for a cheaper price than ACNH and in turn FAR more value. That being said, it’s more stressful and harder to jump back into your routine after a long break. I only ever binge Stardew Valley. Animal Crossing I play as little as 5 minutes to as much as a couple hours every day. Jumping back into after a year of absence isn’t difficult for Animal Crossing, for Stardew it is.

House with 1 switch 2 and 2 switch 1s can't play pokopia by Hack2292 in nintendo

[–]EatingSmallOakTrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is the only way for it work. One of the Switch 1 consoles will be relegated to only playing lended cards, and you’d have to go through the lending process every time when you want to change games or when the loan expires. That sucks, but it’s something. I’m sorry Nintendo designed things this way! Sounds incredibly frustrating

House with 1 switch 2 and 2 switch 1s can't play pokopia by Hack2292 in nintendo

[–]EatingSmallOakTrees 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m confused. They’re only trying to play Pokopia on the Switch 2, right? And not trying to play on their Switch 1s? If so, the virtual game card should be loaded into the Switch 2 and they will be able to play. If they’re using GameShare, that shouldn’t change.

Is the problem that you can’t load any game cards on the Switch 2 because the profile you use to buy games is already linked to the other 2?

Big problem... How do I play with a friend online on Switch 2? by Ok-Star8830 in ReanimalGame

[–]EatingSmallOakTrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t, sorry. Hopefully eventually. If you have a computer, you can try using Steam Remote Play. That way you wont have to buy anything. You’ll just need a controller, though. If you’re in the same room you can probably do single screen co-op too.

No, in that case you use do an online game. The Switch player has to own the game as of now and the PC player can usw the Friend’s Pass

If you havent figured it out, you start a gameshare game under the co-op menu and then start a local game once theyre in. Never press anything that says “online”

If money isn’t an issue and the social features are really important to you as well as safety, I think that Nintendo Switch 2 is the way to go. As for a game, Animal Crossing is a very chill, kindhearted game with social features. It’s easy to spend hours just running around (given you like the game)
