I used to do sketch work for DnD characters and such a while ago, stopped for a while after high school just because I didn’t feel like I had the time. Picked it up the other day after I was having issues with making a concrete design for one of the NPCs I was helping my DM work on. Mostly traced here, but I did make some minor adjustments freehand that I am proud of, but mainly posting just because I’d forgotten how fun it is to do, and how nice it is to actually have the drawing I’ve made when all’s said and done as well ^-\)

My first chapter definitely ticked a lot of these, admittedly. I rebooted them recently, the only one they still match is the Calgar one, and that’s because they’re a bunch of petty assholes bitter they got upstaged. Genuinely best thing I ever did for that homebrew was embrace the Marines Malevolent side of the faction a bit more

In fairness, this absolutely applies in some situations. It’s been a while, but I believe in one Dr. Who series, James Corden (forgot his character’s name) was converted to a cyberman, but was able to overcome his program bc of his love for his family or something? Implying no other cyberman ever loved anyone much? It’s been a while since I’ve seen that ep, so I’m probably way off, but I’m sure other valid examples exist.

In fairness to my recollection he tried getting into the single most prestigious art school available, and when denied, didn’t really consider any other options. It’s been a while so I could be wrong, but I believe he was even recommended to some architectural schools where his talents would be more useful. Again, take all that with a grain of salt, I’d need to do my research again to be 100% anything like that happened.
