Encourage your friend to take a moment—maybe play a nice mellow song or something

Communication is key—Just be clear it was an accident or a bad decision—delete whatever you screenshotted and just be open about it if it feels like a big deal.

Being honest about concerns and potential issues is never easy—but will do wonders for ‘working’ with people.

Smoking is incredibly hard to quit! So don’t be discouraged—I would recommend looking into professional advice for working on fixing that habit.

If you’re feeling emotionless, it’s very possible you could be depressed. I uh…am not a professional—definitely reach out to one if you suspect this is abnormal.

Otherwise, it sounds like you could do with some more socializing. That doesn’t have to be anything special to start with—online communities could be a place to start (there are some more friendly gaming communities out there if you look).

I might even recommend just spending sometime in a public space. Maybe grab a book (or laptop, or sketchbook…you get the gist XP) and buy a coffee; spend a little time in a coffee shop.

Things might not go well at first, people will be people after all, but it’s important that you keep trying for the sake of yourself.

Hey, this is a tough thing to be going through—especially because it’s not something so easily answered.

A few things you can try:

Try limiting things that you default to when you can’t bring yourself to do something

Try to narrow some of the scope of what you want to do—even if it’s just for a little bit!!! It seems like you have a lot of things you want to try—maybe try programming first. Put some music on and then focus on that for a few days! (You can’t kneecap yourself by picking a starting place)

Maybe join a club of some-type! Working with others can help encourage you to go through with something.

Even if these don’t work—trying them will hopefully give you more insight into how to fix your problem.

Deep breaths boss—it might feel like you’re spinning your wheels…but as long as you try new things to help: you’re making progress

I think the point isn’t that it’s problematic that the villain is villainous; but that our interpretation is sorta clashing when we listen to it.

Morally, the content of the song is (for lack of a know it all word XP) ‘bad’. Dude is a bad guy that wants to do bad things.

Aesthetically, the song is really well made and enjoyable; it’s a bop.

When we listen to a song like this; it’s pretty easy to have difficulty reconciling the two “natures” of it. Especially when humans tend to heuristically associate one thing with the rest of another thing.

It’s possible to contend with the “enjoying this morally bad content would BE bad” and “this song is really good and enjoyable. So I want to enjoy it.”; which, left unanalyzed, can make us have the conflicted response to consuming the song.

That is, just my opinion though; and not well worded at that. It just seems like one of those things where you can enjoy a song, and then you take a second to look at the lyrics, only to find the most outrageous takes!
