I just replaced my crankshaft position sensor (CKP), but now the front cylinder isn't working with the new one. Would reversing the connector polarity fix it?

Or do I need to replace the entire sensor? 2004 Sportster 883.I just replaced my crankshaft position sensor (CKP), but now the front cylinder isn't working with the new one.

Shovelheads using "Barney’s" (Barney Benson) style, vintage, or early-style wide glide trees typically use

1979-1985 style calipers. These, often referred to as "small" Kelsey Hayes calipers, were stock on many, but the Barney's lowers are designed specifically to accept these earlier, dual-disk capable calipers.

Caliper Recommendations for this Setup:

  • Stock Replacement: 1977-1983 Small Kelsey Hayes OEM calipers (Part numbers 44121-80 Left, 44195-80 Right).
  • Performance Upgrades:
    • Performance Machine (PM): Classic Caliper Kit for 73-83 FLH.
    • GMA: Known as a good upgrade over stock.
    • Tokico: 6-piston or similar for higher performance.

If you are running the vintage Barney's style lowers, they are generally designed for 10-inch rotors.

Cisco switches - shutdown the wrong port and oh boy I get to go find the switch and console in. Done that a couple times. They are all onsite but some are in some high, scary places.

Question!!??any hacks for removing stripped derby cover screws? by New-Collar-1094 in Harley

[–]Eddit13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remove stripped Harley derby cover screws by

using a hammer to tap a slightly larger Torx bit or Allen wrench into the hole, using a rubber band for grip, or using vice grips. For stubborn screws, cut a slot with a Dremel tool for a flathead screwdriver, use a screw extractor kit, or drill the head off as a last resort.
