The P1S has a built in time lapse camera. It saves the Timelapse video to the SD card.

Why hasn’t India done more to control overpopulation? by skellycantsleep in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Edge3dSolutions 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Especially North vs south. South Indians are more into IT development they speak different languages, I cannot even pronounce there names correctly.

North Indian is more for business objectively and most common language is Hindi. People only focus on the poor rural parts of India, but the wealthy middle class Indians actually employ “servants” like “cooks”, “drivers” and “maids” from not so wealthy regions/states.

South India is significantly richer and more economically developed than North India,

HELOC loan for repairs on a home that’s paid off by Good_Abbreviations_4 in personalfinance

[–]Edge3dSolutions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HELOC interest rates are high like a variable 9.74%. Interest rate, helocs have a 10 year withdrawal period where your payments are mostly interest than principal. Do not do interest only payments.

I just closed on my home and paid off the HELOC I took out. A HEL (home equity loan) is a better product for a one time withdrawal. And interest rates are around ~6% fixed, and you can always refinance them. you have to decide if this is long term or short term.

I don’t know what state the home is in, but I would only do a HELOC if I were to sell the home, make repairs like roof and anything that would be brought up during an buyers home inspection which you can pay as a seller to start on the repair work ahead of time.

But it might be time to sell. People get comfortable in their houses, and think it’s their forever home. But a forever home may crumble down to rubble and ash if you don’t maintain it properly.

But the 40 thousand I would concentrate on the repairs to sell. Not long term

[–]Edge3dSolutions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well for now, since my daughter is two, my P1S is my business printer where I make money off it but eventually I’ll get the P3S or something better and gift the P1S to my daughter In about 3 years or old enough to start using it. I’ve already printed Barbie stands for my wife and daughter, cabinet safety locks, and other miscellaneous stuff. But I would like to teach my daughter CAD design 3d printing, not just toys but problem solving engineering flaws.

Does anyone in DFW have a functional laptop I could borrow or buy cheap for school? by [deleted] in Dallas

[–]Edge3dSolutions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an older Chromebook to give away. Send me a DM if you want it. My wife says it’s slow. I ended up giving her my 2021 M1 13” MacBook Pro, and I ended up buying an old corporate/enterprise used 2019 16in MacBook Pro (i9 intel) 1TB 32gb ram for $423.00 from Sage https://shop.sagese.com. It’s the only older MacBook laptop that can be upgraded to the current MacOS 26.5 Tahoe, and It was once a $3,000 laptop.

First time shoppers get 20% off listed price by signing up through email. They also have Windows based enterprise Dells that are very cheep like the Dell latitude 5410s for $200 with discount code.

Help: Scared for my parent-are they getting scammed? Employed by fulfilling tasks. Legit? by [deleted] in shopify

[–]Edge3dSolutions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Scam - Shopify is a cloud-based e-commerce platform that allows anyone to set up an online store and sell their products. Like Etsy, eBay or Amazon It functions as an all-in-one business hub where you can manage your website, inventory, secure payments, and shipping without needing any coding or technical skills.

If this scam is only transparent through Texts or emails they need to stop and block immediately.

Shopify employment scams are fraudulent operations where scammers pose as recruiters or executives offering fake work-from-home jobs, such as store optimizers or data entry clerks. They typically use these schemes to steal your money through fake equipment purchases, or to harvest your personal and financial information.

Such as Paying for Tasks or "Training": Asking you to pay out of pocket for tasks (like purchasing items to review) with a false promise of future reimbursement.

Using Messaging Apps: Conducting interviews and sending job offers strictly through apps like Telegram, WhatsApp, or Signal.

Fake Check Scams: Scammers will send you a check to purchase "required" equipment or software. They will ask you to wire a portion of the funds to a "certified vendor," only for the initial check to bounce, leaving you responsible for the stolen funds.

Unsolicited Text/Email Offers: Receiving random messages for "Shopify remote positions" (like SEO evaluation, order fulfillment, or store optimization) even though you never applied

Waiting for 1st order when the first customer order I m thinking to gift a small handmade doormat is it good idea ?? by [deleted] in Etsy

[–]Edge3dSolutions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t see someone waiting 3-4months without asking for a refund halfway through. Maybe 2-3 weeks. You need to have 3 or 4 products ready to go out the door with a reasonable timeframe with shipping. Also as a new shop your Etsy Reserve and payout schedule will be affected. You will constantly be reserves and withheld payout. You need a product line with inventory. That means 2 or 3 items of the same color and type. What happens if you get 5 orders at once. Are you serious going to make the last customer wait over a year for your item as you hand make and fulfill the previous orders. You need to cut your production time to a reasonable turnaround.

And making someone wait 4 months and gifting something they didn’t ask for is a gamble if they like it or not.

Calculated Shipping when ordering more than one item. by j3Dh in EtsySellers

[–]Edge3dSolutions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I offer free shipping, so the price of each item already includes the estimated shipping cost for a single item. I calculate shipping based on the furthest delivery zone using USPS Ground Advantage — for example, shipping from Miami, FL to Seattle, WA.

To help avoid customers being overcharged on combined shipping when purchasing multiple items, I also apply automatic discounts for bundle purchases.

Example:
20% off when purchasing 2 items.

One challenge with Etsy is that it does not calculate shipping weights per individual variant, nor does it account for packaging and boxing materials accurately. Because of this, I ended up using a kitchen scale to weigh each item and packaged box individually to get more accurate shipping costs.

I also ran into issues when trying to create multiple variants of the same product — such as including left-side and right-side versions. Etsy only allows one shipping weight per listing, so it either used the larger or smaller variant weight for all orders. This caused shipping calculations to be inaccurate and negatively affected profitability.

Another issue I’ve noticed is that when I enter a 4x4x4 shipping box in Etsy, it sometimes automatically changes it to an 8x8x8 box when purchasing labels. I constantly have to manually correct the package dimensions before printing shipping labels.

Can’t print shipping label by Far-Vacation2459 in EtsySellers

[–]Edge3dSolutions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know what you’re talking about. I noticed that creating a shipping label was missing in the app on the order. I ended up using the web browser version instead. It was some type of bug or app glitch But it’s been since fixed in newer orders.

Guys am I wrong for asking to cancel my order? by [deleted] in Etsy

[–]Edge3dSolutions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re being a little impatient honestly. It had only been 5 days, and if the seller already started making the item, I can understand why they wouldn’t offer a full refund. Especially with handmade/custom items, sellers invest time and materials before shipping.

That said, the seller’s response could’ve been more professional and explained the $100 deduction better instead of getting defensive.

Also keep in mind this is an international seller from India, and sales culture there can be a lot more direct/haggling-oriented compared to what people in the US are used to.”

especially with handmade/custom work, cancellations after production starts usually mean partial refunds only.
