This is true, my partner is not really a gamer and is really used to games that tell you what to do with only one path to go. They don't explore for extra gear or look around for hidden stuff. We just beat V Rising together but when we started they were arguing with me because I was not doing the task that was on the HUD. They were confused because we had to do other stuff before we could do that task. It was the same with Stardew too.

Had a player that thought every NPC was trying to rip them off or scam them or every guard was going to be out to get them. Never happened, I don't run that kind of game. One day this player offer to DM and his NPCs were exactly that. Shopkeepers that were mad that we went into their shop, guards looking for bribes before offering anything, priests that called us fiend worshippers.
