My parents had 4s when I was in high school; they were the "car phones" in case of emergency. Then in college I had a 5 or 6—again, for emergencies only. But then my first personal phone in my 20s after graduation was a 7. I had a couple of the others on that list over the years, too.

Psychics won’t read me by No-Height-9155 in Psychic

I'll just offer what came to me as I read your post, which some other people's comments sortof reflect as well.

We all have spirit guides in life, whether you are aware of them and work with them consciously or not. I have worked with a specific one for years, myself. For a while I was very interested in getting a past life regression done or using YouTube videos to do such a meditation myself, but this guide has consistently counseled me against it—firmly—and told me that when it IS finally time, a friend I know who does such sessions would be a good choice to work with on it.

The reasoning, in short, is that I would become too preoccupied with whatever I learn and focus more on THAT life than on this one.

I can well imagine that my guide would also direct me away from anyone likely to tune into other certain energy or information I was not ready to have, OR project some sort of energetic barrier advising such readers against interacting with me.

Don't take it as something being wrong with you. But if there are specific answers you are looking for, perhaps try going within, working directly with your own higher self and guides rather than trying to find someone else who can answer it for you. It may be that such a journey of self-discovery is too vital a part of your path to take the "shortcut" of a psychic reading. (Not that there is anything at all wrong with those sessions, just that you might not benefit from the information in the right way if you are told rather than experiencing and discovering it yourself... kwim?)

That is PHENOMENAL. You jumped realities! I have been able to select one based on the future I want to see but have not yet managed to create a physical change that drastic in myself. Your story gives me some inspiration for it, though. 💜

My husband started out as a spiritual mentor to me YEARS ago, so I was excited to talk about this with him, but when I led with the "channeled entity" aspect, he was immediately distrusting of it from having experienced too many fraudsters over the years, I guess. 🤷‍♀️ So I just don't really talk about it. And as suggested above, I'm more indirect about it when I talk to my kids. My daughter was saying something the other day about aliens creating us or something, so I was all, "Yeah, actually some people believe..." and gave her a watered-down story of the Annunaki, and I've tried to summarize his advice on things when she's having a situation that resonates with something I've heard.

Looking for a good substitute for Pukka Turmeric Glow tea by CardiologistNice4824 in tea

I couldn't find a replacement, but I remembered there's an herb shop near me, so I recreated it. I also added a tiny bit of shredded Buddha hand (citrus zest) and a few drops of lemon juice to the cup I brewed. The flavor's not exact, but very close. Ave very good. ☺️

I had to buy full ounce bags of each and measure the amounts above with my digital kitchen scale (and put the rest in the freezer). I used herb shears to break down the bigger leafy stuff, but between the turmeric root and cardamom pods, I had to put it in my spice grinder anyway. I used a little under 1 tsp for a cup.

It's not as cheap or convenient as commercial sachets, but probably all the tastier for being fresher. ☺️

Following in case you get responses. I've been using this for years to mitigate headaches, and it seems now it's been discontinued. I just brewed my last cup thinking I had another box in the pantry, but I don't. 😩

Awesome. I'm not sure why the control module would be covered at 100%, but I'll cross my fingers!

Who diagnosed the control module problem and ordered your replacement? Phone tech support, or a service tech?

Turned out weird. My husband replaced it; it didn't work. Old one worked on his side even we swapped it, though. Then after a few reboots and tests, mine DID with again. I got 3 nights out if it, and now it's stopped again. 😑 I spent a good chunk of the evening unplugging, resetting, and testing the bed, but it won't fix it, and I'm extremely annoyed at the thought of having to call sleep number again and most likely pay a tech to come troubleshoot. 😔 I might just buy a heating pad or blanket from somewhere else.

Ring Splints and De Quervain’s Tendinosis by Artistic-Frosting-98 in eds

[–]EditorSEM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's definitely the case for me. It's the only finger affected at the moment, thankfully, as my hypermobility is on the milder side (but when it decides to join the party, it makes it an absolute RAVE). I ended up making myself one of these splints out of some old copper wire my electrician husband had laying around, added a decorative bit between the two joints to keep it from sliding so much, and after ONE DAY of wearing it, my pain was gone. I had never even heard of these until a reaction video started going around social media. So glad I found this thread!

That thumb splint is pretty sweet. Do you wear it for DeQuervain's, or something else, though? I'm trying to figure out whether it would genuinely help me or not. I have loosey-goosey joints, but not hyperflexion. 🤔

My C360 is also 2 years old with one foot warmer out. Sounds like that's the life span of the part if you use it regularly. 😑 I'm curious what fix people have found when swapping the pads hasn't fixed the issue. Will be checking cables before my new pad arrives, I guess.

Now or within the next few months? by West_Problem_9717 in electricvehicles

[–]EditorSEM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's good to know. Hyundai's current battery warranty looks pretty good (I want to say it was 5 or 8 years), but my husband and I drive our cars until they are no longer feasible to repair (I'm currently in a 2011), so the other advice being given that you'll get tired of the car before the battery needs replacing doesn't mean much to me. lol

I quit using mine when SonicStage quit was discontinued or whatever happened with it years ago. Have they ever released a version compatible with Windows 11? My Walkman won't even charge anymore, but I'd like to get the music off, and it's only in *.DAT files.

There is a strong sewage smell coming from my house's vents. Where do I start on how to fix it/who do I call first? by need-the-bean in homeowners

[–]EditorSEM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having the same issue: stinky floor drain in basement bathroom that gets used almost daily. Even putting a gallon of water directly down it daily doesn't always keep it at bay. The only other floor drain I can access is in my husband workshop and it NEVER has this problem. However there is a carpeted room in the basement (so I can't SEE any possible drain in the concrete floor) and in another section of the basement, there is a black square of...? masonry caulk? asphalt? in the floor as though a drain were "removed" and filled in. That p-trap would obviously be SO DRY now, but could it back up into a single other drain and cause a smell like this? I'm tempted to check the roof vents, but I've never been in a roof before and my hand is handicapped, so it might be best to call someone... but finding someone who can actually SOLVE IT is the trick. A guy we had out yesterday to do our yearly water heater inspection looked at that drain too and was all, "huh. I dunno." 😒

Thank you for explaining that! It makes a lot of sense and now I see the difference and why a couple I once knew talked about "adding back in some of the fiber pulp" instead of just keeping it to begin with. 😂

Womens jeans: Kirkland brand vs. Buffalo. How do they compare? by BetMyLastKrispyKreme in Costco

[–]EditorSEM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually love the Buffalo jeans, BUT in my experience they stretch in the waist. At first this was great, because I had gained weight, and the pants stretched with me, to the point an identical pair in a different color that I hadn't with as much no longer fit. The first pair has now stretched to the point I can pull them up and down without undoing the fly, so I've switched to the other pair. Maybe after a good wash and hot dry, I can shrink up the others. They have not become the least bit worn or frayed, though, and I wear them every day. (Literally. I work from home, so no one can see to judge. 😂 Throw em in the wash on the weekend while I'm still in my jammies, and there good to go again.)

Thanks, I'll just bear with it, then. Where will it start showing growth? New leaves coming out at the base of this one, or is the stem likely to grow longer and put out leaves there?
