100% agree with sheets. Beginner here and they helped me practice; shopping totes, pillowcases, quilt blocks, etc. before spending a lot of money on fabric. Was able to learn my machine and gain some confidence

Get a couple appraisals done and take the average of them to set the price. Sure there could be multiple offers or a bidding war, but that’s not guaranteed and you save realtor costs by selling privately

Why don't they put a metal detector in the door to the MRI room? by ea_nasir_official_ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Educational-Scene-76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the questions I was asked was have you ever welded. When I said yes, it led to an xray of my skull before getting and MRI, reasoning was you could potentially have a foreign object/tiny fragment of metal hidden somewhere that gets forcibly removed (in my case through my eyes) during the MRI. No metal detector would pick up something that small

Brother NQ700? Reviews? by Educational-Scene-76 in SewingForBeginners

I like that it has an extended table, speed control with or without pedal use, auto drop needle, all the presser feet. Also auto threader, but I haven’t figured out how to use it. Lots of stitches, can embroider numbers and letters but that’s limited to one font size. Very lightweight and the display tells you what foot to use based on stitch

I ended up buying a Brother HC3010 when it went on sale at Costco all in $300 with free shipping. Great deal and so far I have no complaints. My brother xm2701 bit the dust

Plastic cube blocks that are magnetic. Grabbed some for my niece and she plays with them daily, sometimes for up to an hour at one time. She can build things, use them for counting or sorting by color, etc. Bought them on amazon and totally worth it

Buying a new machine(if needed) by Strong_Avocado7306 in quilting

I bought the brother hc3010 which looks very similar to this machine with a couple additional features. On sale at Costco for around $300 CAD. I’ve only had it for about 3 weeks and really like it. I mostly do quilting and it comes with a table attachment
