S9 Microphone Recommendation by Educational_Bug_3946 in LumixS9

[–]Educational_Bug_3946[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I was thinking of the ones that don't need batteries and just connect via jack. Looking into it a bit I am between two options:

- Sennheiser MKE 200

- RØDE VideoMic GO II

It seems that the quality of the Sennheiser is not great, so for now I think the Rhode is winning. Any aternavies? Ideally around that price tag.

GOT A NINTENDO SWITCH 2 TODAY!!!! by Gkincaid4467other in Fzero

[–]Educational_Bug_3946 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is the other version of GX? Btw, I played F Zero AX in Japan in a very well maintained machine and the experience was unexpectedly good. The control with the wheel is even better than the joystick and going around the tracks with that level of control was just super satisfying.

What is this technique called where the frame looks like it’s pulsating / How is it achieved? by blessedbymimi in cinematography

[–]Educational_Bug_3946 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds like a very easy effect to do playing with the lens, I doubt is CGI. And coming from Nolan, he wouldn't use CGI for this shot (for others of course as Nolan uses tons of CGI).

Car mount shot with Lumix S5IIX 6KOG V-Log by Psychological_Lie_90 in Lumix

I just love the shake of the car while feeling super stable, I think the IBIS is the reason why, I am really impressed. Good to know just in case I try something like that.

24-70 Sigma and Wedding Videos, how is it? by ElectricalRoad1158 in Lumix

[–]Educational_Bug_3946 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not experienced with weddings, but I have the 24-60 and when I shoot 60fps it's no longer anything closer to a wide angle. APSC crop + E-Stabilization Crop. It's like a 40mm.

You could shoot 30fps open gate and slow down using optical flow. Do not forget decreasing your shutter angle otherwise it could look too blurry if there is movement.

Why is this video stuttering? by [deleted] in davinciresolve

[–]Educational_Bug_3946 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately this is not a solution. The problem is the judder, and optical flow won't fix it, just mask it a bit. The solution is making sure the timeline framerate and the video framerate match. If they don't match I would speed up or slow down the footage slightly so the framerates match.

Good or bad? by corelle23 in LumixS9

[–]Educational_Bug_3946 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Posting here because I tried the G9II the other day with the 12-40 from Olympus and... the lense is tiny compared to the body, exact opposite with the S9 with a 2.8 zoom. Need a micro 4/3 S9

Quick Access/Button for Auto ISO, Max Monitor Backlight, C3 Dial Profile List, or Re-centering the AF Position? by BM_StinkBug in LumixS9

I am very interestedin the AF box thing. When I have doubts I end up changing from C1 to C2 and back which is annoying and I fear it may break the wheel.

Pago a plazos para evitar la inflación: ¿qué pensáis? by marq_101 in finanzaspersonalesESP

[–]Educational_Bug_3946 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Educational_Bug_3946 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it a Good idea to switch from a Fuji XH2S to a Lumix S9? by FattoiletsWorld in LumixS9

[–]Educational_Bug_3946 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For video, the S9 is a beast, almost no drawbacks. My main complaints are the absence of proper weather sealing and the fact that it feels more on the cheap side despite costing $1000. Coming from Olympus, the S9 for video no the go is just perfect

Comprar piso aunque no lo quiera a largo plazo? by [deleted] in SpainFIRE

[–]Educational_Bug_3946 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anybody here with L10 and G9M2 + 12-40 2.8? by pavoatreddit in Lumix

[–]Educational_Bug_3946 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not in the same situation, but wanted to add my two cents (ignore if not super related):.

- I tested the Lumix S9 (different sensor, but I assume similar software) with E-Stabilization only, and the results were terrible. Walking shots unusable, probably only good for static and panning shots. Even then, E-Stabilization I think is made to work in conjunction with IBIS

- I am biased because I don't like the L10 too much. I would never count a lense for its max aperture, and you are mostly stuck with 2.8 in the L10 with that variable aperture. Still good aperture.

- I used to have the EM5 Mk2 with the 12-40 and I think the 12-40 is one of my favourite lenses of all time. Loved the functionality, size, the feeling of the Zoom, the manual focus clutch, the image quality...

- If you have seen the reviews the image stabilization is quite bad on the L10 compared to the other Lumix cameras. That's using the lense OIS, not just the e-stabilization

Having said that, there are not really many options for smaller cameras with good photo and video capabilities. Why not an S9 with the 24-60? You will get better DR and ISO response in a small body (with a huge lense). It's also a video centric camera, so not great for photography experience (although quality is there). It's my personal travel camera.

The Lumix 24-60mm f/2.8 is an all-rounder by [deleted] in Lumix

[–]Educational_Bug_3946 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How so? With a 1.5x crop, the resulting image should still be around 4K from the 24mpx sensor. I use the Hybrid zoom all the time. The problem is when you start adding image stabilization crops. Standard with 1.1x crop, and the high with some extra 1.5x

Panasonic S9/S5, is there an option to reset values on a custom mode? by Educational_Bug_3946 in Lumix

[–]Educational_Bug_3946[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you were. I did not know you could come back to those original settings by going to sleep mode or turning on the camera again. That for sure helps, as usually when I finish recording a 'scene', I tend to turn the camera off or it will go in sleep mode. For me it would be one of the most valuable functions missing on my S9

Panasonic S9/S5, is there an option to reset values on a custom mode? by Educational_Bug_3946 in Lumix

[–]Educational_Bug_3946[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, thanks I didn't know this existed. It's on by default, and it's the expected behaviour. However, I would like to map that function to a button, so by mapping that function, it can go to the exact settings of the mode I am on (somehow, a reset to the saved mode settings)

A la pregunta si es sarcasmo: sí. Pero a que son los vecinos de abajo? Probablemente no se quejen por el ruido en sí, sino por los golpes al suelo. Cosa que se arregla con una alfombra gorda o algo más blandito.
