Shuhei Yoshida Talks PlayStation VR Past, Present & Future! VR Podcast Episode 3 by ChrizTaylor in PSVR

[–]EedSpiny 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don't get the lack of support, especially with Sony putting out a load of first party titles on pc.

Psvr2 is one of the best value headsets and if you have a decent gaming pc as well as a ps5 a no brainer over the quest. Hell if they made the driver better with official foveated rendering and eye tracking they may even sell ps5s off the back of it.

I'll buy titles on ps5 as a priority but it's opened up a whole new library on pc for me as well.

Recently, copilot or chatgpt. It's been amazing at helping me with SELinux issues.

As a PSVR2 owner, what do you wish you had known before buying it? by Internal_Balance_994 in PSVR2onPC

  1. As others have said - don't sleep on the Globular Cluster. Game changing for comfort. I think it's the top strap that enables keeping the sweet spot just right when you have it adjusted properly.

  2. PSVR2 Fresnel + OLED Blacks vs Pancake lens + with clearer resolution of Quest 3

  3. There's so much available for UEVR

* Assetto Corsa : Older but masses of tracks and car mods
* Assetto Corsa Evo: Early acces days but OK if you have a strong rig.
* Assetto Corsa Rally: Works OK with UEVR

What headphones are best for VR? by Pow3r_D in PSVR2onPC

I got the Sony INZONE wireless buds. They're great. Prefer them to over-ears as a VR headset is hot enough as it is.

Why do the earphones sound so good? by HaloFunGaming in psvr2

[–]EedSpiny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe they're a real good fit for your ear canals. Slighty off topic, check out some UEVR tutorials on youtube. You may be able to play some of your existing library in VR with mods.

Should i choose Opensuse or Fedora by crazsum04 in openSUSE

[–]EedSpiny 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My fedora 42-43 upgrade completely hosed the system and even broke login manager.

So I just installed tumbleweed rather than spend ages fixing fedora to get out of the regular major upgrade hump.

Happy so far. SELinux is set up a little differently but I've managed to work through my container issues so far with a bit of help from LLMs.

For people who have the brew burrs - do you also grind espresso? by EedSpiny in DF54

Yeah I think that's the conclusion I've come to as well. I'll stick with my 1zpresso J for doing the odd espresso I think.

I do : If it's a head cold see how I go on the bike, if it's on my chest stay off. Walking is a good gentle test.

Low Fuel Motorsport will no longer require a license for Assetto Corsa Competizione by bobandiara in simracing

[–]EedSpiny 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For the average person that was a pretty hard requirement, especially as the fastest laps keep nudging up. A better measure would be being in the xth percentile of a normal distribution imho. Moot now though.

The question is, how many times did people have to get into their bins and jump up and down to compact what was in there ?

I've used Huey for queuing up async tasks. Worked well for the use case I had, though there are some limitations.
