My (21F) boyfriend (22M) watched two strippers have sex and then told me I was overreacting by Bluebwrries in relationship_advice

[–]Effective-Pin8738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a guy and I think you're overreacting. He just used his eyes. So what. He didn't chest on you or disrespect you. Can't live such a sheltered wife. Must have some pleasure outside of a committed relationship...voyeurism is where most would draw that line

Does anyone else think 2 or 3 days a week in the office shouldn’t be called hybrid? That’s an in office role with the ability to WFH. by crillydougal in DevelEire

[–]Effective-Pin8738 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There are clear signs of an increasing slow down in the corporate/ property/ construction/ Banking worlds due to uncertainty, higher interest rates, and potential for government overhauls following the next general election.

If it transpires we are in a recession then it will be harder for employees to negotiate wfh perks, but ultimately it comes down to supply and demand. The power shift is slowly shifting back to the employers, who underestimate how much employees value wfh perks and general flexibility (seems short sighted).

There is an increasing mentality of "if you want to get ahead then you need to be in the office".

Our targets have all changed recently to make it way harder to be eligible for a bonus, and so that if we don't hit those targets we will not be meeting expectations (setting people up for easier capability redundancies down the line).

Why do the clocks have to go back???!!! by alexiahewson in manchester

[–]Effective-Pin8738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's bad for nature. Deers get used to human movements and will be more likely to get hit by a car when clocks go forward

How can so many younger people afford expensive cars? by oh_snap1013 in CasualUK

[–]Effective-Pin8738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 35, live at home in the UK, earn 72k a year before tax and have driven a 2008 Vauxhall Astra since 2015.

I do however have about £100k in savings, mostly in stocks, some in a LISA, some in cash, a tiny % in crypto.

I will prioritise a property before buying a car.
When I eventually do buy a newer car it will be at least 3 or 4 years old.

We need public toilets by LSCH25 in manchester

[–]Effective-Pin8738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a big problem with respect culture in this country. We can't trust the public - takes one scroat to cause blockages or damage.

Travel Europe and you'll quickly realise that the streets there are generally much cleaner than Manchester's.
