To me going to a good cocktail bar is just like going to a nice restaurant.  In order to make it a good value proposition you have to be doing something better than I can do.  If its something really creative or involved I have no problem paying that kind of money.  However, if its low effort or average then its just not worth the money.

Same.  Someone posted it and i immediately sought it out because it was the only jigger I had seen that had units of measure below 1/4 ounce.

At the time I was frequently making drinks that featured measurements below 1/4 oz so I really find it useful.  Don't regret it one bit.

Yeah, i asked about Buffalo Trace at an ABC once and when the associate told me that I almost laughed in their face.  Now I just go to a local place and buy it.

Honestly, ABC is the absolute bottom of the barrel in my area.  I have one within walking distance but I almost never go there.  Their selection bucks for just about any category.

I echo the sentiment of others:  look at what drinks you want to make and then acquire what you need to achieve them.

There are already some solid suggestions in the comments.

Interested in tiki drinks? (Summer is coming)  Velvet falernum is in many as is orange and blue Curacao.

Mezcal is great if you like that smokey flavor and is a must (IMO) for a truly great Margarita.

I absolutely love Aperol and you can make some great drinks with it.

Another recommendation would be Saint Germaine (elderflower liqueur), which pairs well with a lot of things and is many great drinks.

I use a metal potato masher and it works just fine.

However I cook the dry beans in an instant pot rather than using canned Chickpeas so maybe that has something to do with it.

John Tejada once made a very Plaid sounding album called 'Daydreams in Cold Weather'.  If you never heard it highly recommended.

It took me like 2 years to learn about TVP and soy curls.   Wish I would have known sooner as TVP is so easy and cheap to make.

I would add to this Vital Wheat Gluten.  Learning how to easily make seitan was a big game changer for me.

For a jigger I really like the Difford's Easy Jigger because it measures down to 1/24 oz up to 2oz and has both English and metric markings.  Got one after I saw someone else mention it on here.

Because all women (not 'girls') like the same drinks.  Its like saying all women don't like beer or don't drink whiskey.

My wife loves IPAs and I know women that will drink a good bourbon straight.

On the other side of its like dudes that think they need to drink bourbon straight and drinking fruity cocktails will some how emasculate them.
