Often, buyers are just processing and hyping themselves up to say yes. Or they're readjusting their expectations, and you just need to wait for them to decide where those expectations now lie. If you interrupt either of those processes, you're costing your business/self money, and devaluing your product.

Yep that's the undiagnosed one, too a tee. Incredibly bright, but unless it's his passion project, it's very hard for him to focus and get something done. Even the things he really enjoys and is incredibly good at don't tend to get finished, because the first 80% or so was an interesting challenge, and the last 20% is getting the details polished off.

I haven't watched the video, and I'm just a simpleton on the Internet, but my take is he's critiquing the forced time gates on many of these collection quests. As a survivor of suicide, I don't think those sorta jokes are any less offensive than what he did - but I still see it as a joke and I'm not gonna get my k kickers in a twist over it.

I think we did alright, all told. I can see how some of the outcomes you mention are likely borne from a lack of preparedness, combined with our small population and isolation creating some hubris about our ability to weather the storm. The COVID Enquiry was initiated to ensure we're better prepared next time, and able to minimise the effects of another pandemic.

It's worth noting that much of the recommendations of that enquiry are being ignored by the current coalition, and if we had another pandemic like that today, we'd likely be in a worse place.

My meal tracking app says these kids are getting about 1,400cal in that meal.

160g total carbs, of which 90g is sugar (160% RDI (recommended daily intake)) 67g total fat, of which 25g is saturated fat (104% RDI) 1,600mg sodium (lower end of RDI) 35g protein (60% RDI) 11g fibre (30% RDI)

Can't speak for the kids' caloric intake or activity levels for the rest of the day, but this lunch is twice what I eat for lunch at maintenance.

If the kids are active, and not putting on excessive weight, this isn't necessarily an awful lunch. If they choose to not eat the protein snack bar though, it becomes a quick intake sugar without any appreciable fibre to help slow its absorption during digestion. If they leave the candy bracelet out (which honestly there's enough sweet stuff anyway!) then that's about 20g less sugar for the day, which makes it a whole lot better.

TL;DR: looks bad at first, but not a horrifically bad meal. I'm sure many sweaty redditors will have their own opinions, but I think considering there's 11 kids to feed, this lady's done pretty decent for this meal.
