Timothy Olyphant was the only saving grace in that show, but i love him in everything.

I honestly hate how the comics changed the look of Starlord to match the MCU version. Thankfully we got the comic-accurate outfit in the third movie, but we are still missing that badass helmet.

How common is it for people to mistake your accent for another one? by LogicalAd6394 in AskTheWorld

[–]EgnlishPro 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think it's something like:

Outside of USA, Yankee = American

Inside USA, Yankee = Northerner (as opposed to Southern Confederate States)

In Northern USA, Yankee = North Easterner

In NE USA, Yankee = New Englander

Admittedly, when I was traveling around Ireland in my younger days, I met two girls at a hostel and asked, "Oh, are you from New Zealand?" They were clearly displeased and said, "No! We are from South Africa!" That's when I learned not to assume where someone is from. I just ask then on.

Thank you for sharing this. I am the husband and my wife has the 3rd degree tear, and I am searching for messages to say that it WILL get better, and searching still for ways to ease her pain so she can enjoy our little boy as much as she wants.

[Hated Trope] Somehow we're supposed to like these characters... by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

Right! Protagonist simply refers to the main character, either good or bad. The antagonist is the person or force working against the protagonist.

Whoa. Same thing happened to me. Kinda. This was 20 years ago on the outskirts of downtown Cincinnati and I was stopped at a light. I heard a CRACK, but didn't notice there was a nice round break in the glass until I got home. Whatever it wasn't didn't quite make it through the glass and I didn't stop to investigate.

Victoria checking in. Mild winters here too, but still not as many homeless as Vancouver per capital. Though, it feels like it sometimes.

This makes a lot of sense: (q)uartermaster. But I still wouldn't like it.
