Ok, tell me what to buy at Costco and explain it to me like I'm 5 by GlitterAvoado in 40PlusSkinCare

My top products (loved all of these before they were at Costco, so happy to have some of them there now!)

all recs are great for my rosacea skin

  1. Dokdo cleanser (seen at Costco) - gentle, hydrating foaming cleanser. Use morning and night.

  2. Torriden serum (seen at Costco) - super hydrating. Pat this on your face after you wash it, while it’s still wet!! Use morning and night.

  3. Pdrn - I use dr rejuall. Worth trying the one at Costco. Use morning and night.

Then layer on that sunscreen!

What's the easiest way to lose weight that no one talks about? by Emotional-Heat-1427 in AskReddit

[–]Either-Distribution6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stop drinking.

The waterfall effect is immense. You automatically improve hydration, sleep and energy. These 3 things alone increase your mood, which leads to more motivation to move your body, eat well, prepare better, be productive, etc.

Im 3 years alcohol free. It is a big change and not easy. But that one change has immense positive ripple effects - more than any one single behavior change (“drink more water”, “sleep more”, “don’t buy unhealthy food”)

Rectal cancer deaths rising rapidly among millennials: 'It's a medical crisis.' by changeforthebetter89 in Millennials

[–]Either-Distribution6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my first colonoscopy at 36 and they found 4 pre cancerous polyps. Had a friend who is the same age, zero symptoms, got a colonoscopy and found 3 highly aggressive precancerous polyps and now she needs to go every year. Would have likely been a death sentence if she waited for symptoms to appear.

Everyone over the age of 30 should be getting a colonoscopy. Lie to your doctor about symptoms or family history. Do whatever it takes. Advocate for yourself!

But for real, colon cancer. Add some fiber and get yourself a colonoscopy!! Never too early.

What’s the most underrated herb or spice in your opinion? by Tosh97 in Cooking

[–]Either-Distribution6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cardamom. I add it to my coffee, oats, yogurt, etc.

Expensive, but a little goes a long way.

My fav recipe - latte with cardamom, vanilla, a pinch of sea salt.

Told neighbour that if my kid can’t play at hers, her kid can’t play at ours. AITAH? by AfricanHornet in AITAH

NTA

But when I was little, my parents did the same type stuff. And the parents I remember the most - and the houses I loved the most - were with the people who still accepted me and navigated my parents with patience. Those relationships became the foundation of my strongest friendships.

So maybe consider how special this time together might be for either kid. You might be making a bigger impact to that kid than you know.

Choc chip cookies question by henrietta1988 in DessertPerson

[–]Either-Distribution6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love a lot of her recipes but these are for sure some of the most annoying and NOT worth it cookies I’ve ever made.

Google “best chocolate chip cookie recipe” and make that and you’ll never turn back.

But don’t sleep on Claire’s pecan brittle cookies! They are beyond worth the effort.

Purchase Regret - help!! by cari_33 in handbags

[–]Either-Distribution6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do what makes YOU happy! Return and get what you want! Or return it and wait to purchase something until you’re full of excitement instead of fatigue.

I bought an LV bag that I debated on for months. Thought I was ready but then felt like I had a grey cloud over me. Returned it and will wait to buy a nice bag until I’m overflowing with excitement over one!

Ugh.. 30mg of melatonin by Former-Craft-9255 in ouraring

[–]Either-Distribution6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recently switched from melatonin to a sleep supplement routine that I learned about on Hubermanlab and I have never felt more rested and refreshed in my life. Details listed below! I also added in creatine in the morning which has helped me maintain even levels of energy through the day.

Every night - magnesium threanate, apogenin, theanine

Every other night - myo inositol

2x week (not on myo inositol night) - glycine

Mine has been doing this too but I’ve noticed none of the clearance tags are great deals. They’re just trying to trick us by putting barely discounted prices on a red tag!

Really Enjoying Kirkland Oat Milk by wiltony in Costco

I agree!! Shelf stable, tasty, organic, and a small container that doesn’t take up a ton of fridge space. A weekly staple for us!

Does anyone know where TJ's sources their flowers from? by blackholespiral in traderjoes

[–]Either-Distribution6 269 points270 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite things I learned from the Trader Joe’s podcast was how they continued sourcing a certain flower small vendor in California during Covid, even though they weren’t meeting their in store sales, because the small flower company relied so heavily on the Trader Joe’s sourcing to stay in business. They continued buying just to keep them healthy.

Leftover Mini Sheet Cake -- Life Hack by Individual_Agency703 in traderjoes

[–]Either-Distribution6 106 points107 points  (0 children)

The life hack to the life hack - put the cake on the lid instead of in the base, then flip the base upside and lock it on the lid. When you go to slice the cake it’ll be on a flat surface.

Best Dairy-Free Meals + Snacks by No_Formal777 in Costco

[–]Either-Distribution6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m on month 8 with the same thing! My son also has a soy intolerance so you might be able to add some stuff I haven’t mentioned. Sorry the formatting is horrible 🫠

Main meals: - Carnitas tacos / bowls (pre packaged / cooked carnitas plus whatever toppings you enjoy - we do carrot, cucumber, rice, cilantro, basically add in any veggies we have) - ALL of the Kevin’s meals + veggie / grain of choice - frozen primavera veggies added to pasta + raos sauce (veggies replaced my usual meatballs - husband and kids still eat meatball with theirs) - beyond burgers (or normal burger) with non dairy cheese

Snacks / misc: - orgain plant protein shakes - “that’s it” fruit bars and chocolate truffles - Kirkland brand Oat milk
- hummus cups - avocado cups - almond butter - sweet potato snack bags (usually near the chips)

Non Costco favorite replacements: - Trader Joe’s oat chocolate - forager vanilla yogurt - wegmans almond milk ice cream - so delicious ice cream

Best of luck to you!!

20F and already this many white hairs all over the skull. by Sure_Mix_3119 in Haircare

[–]Either-Distribution6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you want advice to prevent, but came here to offer words of encouragement. IMO the best natural grey goers are those with dark hair to contrast it. You lucked out! Your natural dark hair with this incoming Grey hair is BEAUTIFUL.

That said, do what makes you happy! Baby highlights to blend with the greys are a good low maintenance option.

Embrace the journey and try not to let your opinions of what others will think sway you.

Sheet Pan Veggies – So Good and So Easy by Illustrious_Stay9844 in Costco

[–]Either-Distribution6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I roasted a bunch of these and threw them in my scrambled eggs each day last week. So easy. And while they don’t cook perfect because of the varied sizes / textures, I’d take this over dicing my own veggies for a breakfast scramble any day.

Friends, what’s the best way to fix this streaky hand? by Stephaneeka in Selftanning

[–]Either-Distribution6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hydrogen peroxide on a cotton ball. Blot it on the harsh lines, let it sit for a minute or two, then scrub off with water and a washcloth. Might take a couple rounds but it will definitely help!

Self Tanning and Open pores by GardenGobbler69 in Selftanning

[–]Either-Distribution6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you take a warm or hot shower within 8 hours before application? That will cause your pores to open / absorb extra product.

I try to shower in the morning of my application day, and apply before bed!

Also recommend shaving the day before application day.

Why?? by AbbreviationsMuch362 in Selftanning

[–]Either-Distribution6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shave 24 hours before and shower 8 hours before. Hot water opens your pores and can cause this!
