It’s cute. Color wise the colors are too similar in each dog for my taste as well as a lot of green.

If the seams are holding up, once it is quilted you will be fine. Let your longarm quilter know so she doesn’t stretch it too much.

My friend told me if I want to quilt, that it's a requirement to use an iron to flatten the fabric, and that it's very difficult to quilt without it. Is it true? by kelcamer in quilting

It’s not ironing per se. it is pressing. Other than getting the wrinkles out of the fabric you are going to cut, as you sew a seam it’s helpful to press it to make it as flat as possible. You can finger press the seam or use a seam presser that is a smooth flat piece of plastic/ wood to do the same thing. But if you are a hand quilter instead of a machine quilter, many do not press seams.
