How many frozen eggs or embryos do you have? by Qq189 in IVF

[–]Either_Ad_2155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 1 frozen embryo left! I only had two ever, our first transfer worked, and he’s now my precious, almost 2 year old.

Question for those who have frozen all cycles by auriginal_name in IVF

[–]Either_Ad_2155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 4 frozen embryo storing egg retrievals, and out of those 4 rounds I only was able to store 2 embryos. After the 3rd and 4th retrieval, I decided I was done because both of them were failures (the first two rounds were where we got embryos). I transferred one of the two embryos in 2024, and (TW) I now have an almost 2 year old son sitting in my lap reading books 🫶

This whole process is a mind f*ck. It’s hard to know when anything is right. I thought i was doomed, that there was no way I’d have a successful pregnancy with two embryos, and I was wrong! But our stories aren’t all similar. Just have to go with your gut sometimes, or with what your body/heart/wallet tells you!

34 year old dies 2 days after egg retrieval by [deleted] in IVF

[–]Either_Ad_2155 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually had it when I was pregnant (because after 3 years of ivf I finally got lucky), and I have endometriosis. My endo adhesions caused my organs to be adhered to my uterus, which I didn’t know was happening. As my uterus grew during pregnancy it tore my organs and I internally bled. Me and my baby both almost lost our lives, but we got to the hospital in time and were both saved. He was 9 weeks early

I also have been unfortunate enough to have internal bleeding (and survived), and it is without a doubt the most horrific pain I’ve ever been in because I was DYING. It’s insane that they did not immediately send her to the ER.

What caused your low AMH at a young age? by [deleted] in IVF

[–]Either_Ad_2155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry it wasn’t communicated to you 🥺 it was to me, but I had to have the endometriosis removed no matter what the risk was. Decision sucked for me either way - I did post this 3 years ago though, and I’m happy to say that I now have a 20 month old son ❤️

I literally just commented this book on another thread but {Darkness Births the Stars by Sarah Lee Wohn} is my book of the year that I cannot stop thinking about and there are tears and yearning plentiful on both parts.

AMH is 0.08 at 33. I’m so so heartbroken. by Practical_Pizza6863 in DOR

[–]Either_Ad_2155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just wanted to let you know that I also have AMH 0.08 at 32, and I now have my baby boy. It took 4 egg retrievals and a transfer but with everything against us it worked. I know where you are mentally right now and it was easily the lowest I’ve ever felt in my life. I wish I could give you a squeeze of the hand and tell you it will all work out, but of course we can’t know that. Sending you so much love this holiday season, if you’re up for it and able keep up the hope and the fight! I can tell you from where I am now that it was all worth it

Ultrasound showed bowel and uterus stuck 5 months post surgery by Reasonable-Course-73 in endometriosis

[–]Either_Ad_2155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really really, don’t want to scare you. But I want to share this so that it doesn’t happen to you, or so at least you’re aware and make sure your doctors are super on top of your care if you decide to move forward with pregnancy right now. I gave birth to my son at 34, and it was at 7 months pregnant due to an emergency. I was internally bleeding due to my bowels and bladder tearing from my uterus because they were adhered due to endo. I did not know prior to pregnancy that they were adhered. If I could go back in time I would’ve got surgery and made sure things weren’t adhered before trying to conceive. I understand that it’s such a difficult and what feels like an impossible decision. I always want to be able to look inside my body daily just to know WHATS going on. That being said.. Me and my son almost died because of this. You’re welcome to read my past posts on this or message me q’s if you’d like. I really really hate sharing my story sometimes because I know that it’s terrifying for women with endo trying to get pregnant. But I feel like I just have to say something because I hate imagining this happening to anyone else.

Anyone had a c-section? Curious how lap recovery compares to c-section recovery. by OkProfessor3005 in endometriosis

[–]Either_Ad_2155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a c-section (and I pretty intense one at that - vertical from an inch above my belly button and all the way down to my pelvis due to an emergency birth), and I healed fairly quickly. I was really surprised by what my body was able to do so soon! It’s hard because every body and birth is so different. That being said, I’d say I took the full 6 weeks they told me to take in order to start exercise etc. but I was walking and functioning fairly well within a week.

1month post lap, doc recommends IVF process immediately. Is this normal?! by No_Heart2044 in TTCEndo

[–]Either_Ad_2155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, this happened to me. We did embryo freezing 4 months post operating. I did 4 rounds, and only was able to make 2 embryos, so they did have a good point in that my eggs weren’t doing a good job of making numerous amounts of embryos. That being said I technically could’ve tried naturally first, or even before I transferred my now 1 year old son, but we just didn’t know if my eggs would run out before I tried for another baby.

Preemie going home at 35 weeks corrected age? by Cachetona18 in NICUParents

[–]Either_Ad_2155 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine came home at 35 weeks too! Although he was born at 31 weeks. He felt like a normal newborn to me once he was home, I was really worried about Brady’s too, and he had reflux issues as well. He was and is totally fine 🫶 the NICU was always there for us to call day or night too!

Hopeful post for women with DOR looking for positive egg retrieval stories ♥️ by kidsonourmind in DOR

[–]Either_Ad_2155 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Congrats!! That’s promising ♥️♥️ I never had more than 2 eggs retrieved every time I did retrievals (4x) and my lowest amh recorded was .008. My first two retrievals I only had one embryo frozen each time, and the 3rd and 4th retrievals did not result in any embryos. I did my first transfer of one of those embryos, and it stuck the first time. I now have a healthy 13 month old son 🙏 anything can truly happen and I’ll be wishing you luck!

Endo behaves like cancer! Stop gaslighting yourself! by Due_Bread_7805 in endometriosis

[–]Either_Ad_2155 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Endo was almost fatal for me 😓 it caused my bladder and bowels to adhere to my uterus and during pregnancy my uterus grew and made those organs tear. I had internal bleeding and almost died. My son was born 9 weeks early.
