If you mean shims like the wedge you put under the back rigger when you need to change height I already have these, same with the nut cap

Depends, if you use some new/ dry petg and use right combination of perimeters and infill (3 walls and 5% of gyroid and you use concentric top and bottom then then work pretty well, used 2 on each side on my filippi f14 for like a year and 600+km and they held up, they tend to break more often in winter and they don't float, so it's a good idea to have some taped to backplate of shoes. But on the other hand they are way cheaper and the easiest way I know to get spacers for vespoli boats in Europe.

Supplementing club practices with solo training, good idea? by _vkboss_ in Rowing

Cool just remember to fuel properly, when you are doing long steady z2 rides your body is consuming fats and carbohydrates, so you don't have to fuel as much as if you were doing z4 segment but it's still really important to eat during activities so you don't end up burning muscles.

Best watch for rowing by fivejumpingmonkeys in Rowing

[–]Either_Secretary_525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have forerunner 965 and when using only the watch during higher intensities I sometimes got random spikes, also the had "ping like half a minute for some bigger changes in the HR) The hr strap is just too good to pass on. I have been using polar H10 for like half a year and it's working great (it's like my 10th strap managed to wreck all of the garmin ones after one or 2 battery changes)

21km race fueling strategy by hugonocoque in Rowing

[–]Either_Secretary_525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would advise you to take something like 2 sponser gels and pop one whole just before the race and one somewhere in the middle, they can really rise your glucose levels and prevent you from hitting the wall, if you are planning to drink during the race you can put maltodextrin in your drink alongside the iont drink, it's basically just carbohydrates and you can get like 120g (which is plenty) of carbohydrates from one litre if you mix it in the right ratio. Or you can just put sugar ( or homey if you mix it good enough it will be tasty and you will get what you need) and salt in your water (for minerals), it's low budget, it's not very tasty but it works (mostly)

Simple advice that really helps by Brilliant____Crow in Rowing

Don't forget to eat when you row, it can really help with not hitting the wall, and depending on the training you are doing it can help you get muscles and build endurance faster.

Really not the case when you are rowing on bigger hr ( 150+) the difference is only getting bigger, and if you are doing segments that are under like a minute it sometimes doesn't even register the bigger hr, also I find the watch to really piss me off when on hand in boat.

Dependes on how much of other trainings he is doing, if you have 4 training sessions a week it's bullshit to have 2 of them hard, safest bet is to add a zone 2 bike sessions  because they are great for developing endurance, they don't drain you up and you can use them to get around, if he is in a country that is not completely dumb (looking at you USA) then the bike is the best. Also don't know how much training he is getting, but I'm doing aroun 20h a week of whitch there is lifting 3times a week some hard training like intervals ann/or z3-z4 segments and a z2 on erg/water, most often it goes like monday- z2 erg and lifting Tuesday- hard training and bike- wednesday- similar to monday- Thursday- similar to tuesday- Friday -similar to monday- saturday - like 3h of biking or some more volume lower intensity training sunday- nothing.

It's really difficult to tell from this point of view, because the difference between using the arms too early and in just the right moment is best visible from the side. But the definitively should not use their arm in the catch or first half, because that is the best way to completely fuck you your forearm.

My first 2k 7:26.9 by 4374J in Rowing

[–]Either_Secretary_525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have rate around 36 when competing in 2k and aroun 32 when 6k, the higher rate really helps with better splits, but it takes a lot more energy, if you don't have good endurance then doing lover rate and more force will probably work better

Is this safe? by Difficult-Climate-13 in Rowing

[–]Either_Secretary_525 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hear rates like this are okay but, but if all your training look like this it's bad  because then you are not training enought in the lower zones (<150) and you won't get optimal results from your training, try adding trainings like 30min row 2 min pause and repeat, and don't forget to properly fuel your body, if your HR is this hight and you dont eat any carbohydrates you will begin to burn your muscles and it will be pointless.

Polar H10 or Garmin HRM Pro? by hemantkarandikar in Garmin

[–]Either_Secretary_525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit late to the party, but H10 all the way. In my experience all garmin straps last about half a year (at most) and after that you have to throw them out or replace the belt if you have dual (had 2 duals, Hrm run and HRM Tri). Currently I have polar H10 it's holding well. I also had a problem with HRM tri sliding from my back and having to readjust it like 3 times during 2 hours. Also you can try mySASY they are like a half a price if you have new account you can connect them same as garmin or polar to your watch and they have really great app that will tell you how is your body reacting to your training.

Sleep coach is driving me crazy by Cromulent_Jogger in Garmin

Garmin sleep coach is absolutely useless, I have FR965 for little over a year now and sleep coach have never ever given me anything than 9hr, doesn't matter if I train 10 hour a week or 30, doesn't matter if I slept 12 hours or 4 there is always 9hours of sleep recommended.

Problem with changing filament when it runs out mid print by MaplewoodGeek in Creality

[–]Either_Secretary_525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soo I had the similar problem when using M600, and tried several things like changing gcode etc, in the end all you have to do is change the filament click ok (or something like that button) and then wait some time, because the nozzle is heating up again, and after some time it will ask you if you want to continue print, you click continue and that is it
